After an AA start to the season English is back in his shell, this much vaunted midfield group is getting towelled up by a VFL centre bounce group, and half the team think they’re playing tag football.

They’ll win, maybe even comfortably, but that first quarter is exhibit A in why we’re not a contender.

Geelong struggled for a whole half against Hawthorn and were down by 9 at HT. Does that mean they aren't premiership contenders?

English needs to lift, has a habit of performing against the best rucks and then being outplayed by rucks he should be dominating.
