MR MAGIC,

YOU HAVE NFI what you are talking about and some of your rants in the past about RFC and other clubs alike have been embarrassing.

Firstly you are calling both Arnot and Ellis defenders. Arnot is a pure mid and Ellis has spent plenty of time in the midfield. Francis Jackson said the long term goal would be for him to end up in the middle. Both of these two are hard at the ball with great foot skills and are 181cm. They are far from Robbie Nahas height and probably still have a couple of cm's growing in them.

Your attitude absolutely disgusts me. People like you cannot claim your a passionate Richmond supporter when you can so easily dismiss the club.

Seriously champ just go & barrack for GWS because your clearly not a member or even a supporter of the RFC.

I am sure a recruiting team who has a full time job of picking kids is able to do it better than you watching 2 minute you tube highlight reels and reading a couple of mock drafts.

You'd think so... Richmonds last 3 decades says otherwise though

Well if he is a mid, with Foley Conca etc.. and the other mids picked before him in this shallow draft he is up against it isn't he!! Hope he makes it but the odds are against him and RFC are they not???

I am a betting man, would have put my money on Downie to be crystal clear at that pick to get a diamond from the rough!!

Look forward to watching GWS games in Canberra if I get there!! Might go up and see GWS v RFC in Sydney with my RFC supporter buddy!!!

Statements like this just proves you are full of it...no way do you have any buddies

My buddy is worth more than $5million dollar, self made, but thats not why I like him.

He knows what he is doing , we think similarly , both followed the Tigers and other interest etc... and as a result he is more a winner than loser!!

Can't see you measuring up !!

When you follow a club for nearly 40 years I think you can claim yourself to being a footy supporter.

I am 178cm and decided probably didn't have the height/opportunity etc.. to make it maybe I was wrong who knows, thats my call that we all make, thats life, but Arnott if a true mid would have to beat Conca , and Foley for a rover position these days. He would be up against the taller bodies of Ablett, Judd, etc.. He plays on the wing against the likes of Fyfe or plays half back against the height of a S Johnson or a floating J Darling. Get real, his best chance is to play a Libba role or back pocket. Hope I am wrong just the way I see it. I can't see him getting taller as he looks developed and mature, any upside would have to be slight and the likes of smaller D Smith rated far higher so you have to question whether the guy will make a AA side. Even Nelson was plucked out as a diamond!!!

I am slighter than Arnott and he wouldn't bother me on the football field in the past in terms of presence.

Anyway good luck to RFC and Arnott, as I said , not worth my trouble anymore!!!

I might be way off the mark, but weren't they were after a small/medium defender or two? And they did pick up a ruckman which was also a need. Did they pick up a tall forward as well to help out Jack? If so, they got everything they were after.

1. Yes - Now Deledio / Houli / Newman can have more stints in the midfield
2. Yes - He can also go back

This year they got Morris 185cm, they get Ellis (potential BP or mid), and Arnie (potential BP or Mid). They also have Newman Lids playing back and Dea taller showing a bit.

On top of this we have Houli, Edwards, King and others like Helbig Connors etc... that float back.

The point is fine we get Ellis but we seriously do not need another player of his type in this years draft et alone the next 2-3 years. Getting Arnie is inferring the implication Ellis will not make it!!! Al these players can't be mids because they are too small with Foley etc.. already there. When you are a superstar with ability strong powerful body and drive like Ablett you can get away with being 182cm which is still taller than these guys

Frankly with Elton, I would have thought they hope he can play CHB or CHF, who could pinch hit ruck but has he done enough to suggest he is good enough to have a reasonable chance to make it???? Time will tell.

1. Wrong. Arnot is an inside mid.
2. It's been 2 or 3 years since King's left the forward half.
3. Yes we do. Who always tears us a new one? Milne / Garlett / Betts / Lecras / Rioli. Zippy small forwards. Ellis is great at negating these, and he can also play midfield.
4. Wrong. Arnot is an inside mid. He's 2cm shorter than Ablett, and 2kg heavier than Ablett. In terms of being "too short", I'd better tell Montagna, Stanton, Murphy, Mitchell, Sewell, Coniglio, etc that they're too short. They should retire now. No hope. You whine about players like Edwards, Nahas, etc getting pushed off the ball too easily. We recruit solid balls of muscle and you still find a way to complain.
5. Elton was rated top 10 at the start of the year. He's had illness problems, which caused him to have a bad Championships.

Thats is absolutely correct. I don't support dictators:D

Actually, you might be right. What I should do is take my RFC bomber jacket, meet Sheedy in Canberra, burn the jacket in front of GWS supporters , and tell Sheedy, the only hope RFC has is for GWS to take them over and relocate to Richmond Sydney.

Now you are saying Arnott is a 180cm stopper, well good luck to him to make a premiership team. Better tell him something constructive like in and under, tough competitior stuff, and he will have to push some other smalls out of the RFC team otherwise no premiership for RFC with Arnott unless they change the rules!!!

I remember telling people how it was with negroes being bloody good at sprints in the Sydney Casino bar and being told down like now and then Bolt comes along.

Lets raise a glass to Bolt, Sheedy and people who capitalise on their ability!!!

Those two goons are rubbish kicks - I'd be embarrassed if I couldn't do better than that

I was a supporter of RFC, I still support the team but after tonights draft effort I am not even bothering until my brother, a Carlton supporter tells me, we are in the GF.

It simply is not worth the effort.

2 small defenders 181cm and 180cm who might not be tall enough!!! They were desperate for a Ruckman to chase Maric but pass on Downie at a pick in the 50's!!!

Honestly, someone is on a different planet!!!!

RFC will struggle to keep its better pplayers now probably, Hell they probably will fold in the next 20 years with such aloof decision making!!!

Very sad, consistently bad. I wish I picked another team, RFC have become a classic greek contemporary tragedy!!:(

BTW whoever, destroyed the draft format for the commentators to show there teeth on TV need their head read. People watch the draft to see what each club picks including their own in anticipation, they do not give a rats about the razz a mat tazz and conversations with draftees from people who need to keep the padding going!!! Wake up!!!

You started the post telling fibs and filled the rest in with BS, if you ever were a Richmond supporter which I doubt, please jump ship and go support the GWS or someone, anyone other than Richmond.

Oh by the way the someone that is on a different planet is you

Please show me where I once said anything to the words of "stopper". You just see what you want to see instead of reality, don't you?
