Just watched some Smith highlights and can’t say I was that impressed. Not the kind of player we need at all. We need outside pace and skill.

Don’t know what highlights you was looking at but in the game against vic country he kicks 3 goals and one of them running out of the centre and slotting it from 50 reminded me very much of Polec.

Hateley would be a good get at 10.

Hately is more versatile and probably a little quicker than Wines. Wouldn’t be an issue to play them in the same midfield. I think he goes between 5-9 but if he last to 10 I doubt we’d be able to read his name out fast enough. Jye Caldwell or Ben King (who I wouldn’t rule out being available) are the others I liked at that pick.

15 I think will depend on what happens at 5. If we already have Rankine in the bag + Hately/Caldwell at 10 then I think we’ll look for a quick midfielder like Xavier Duursma (I was unsure on Duursma early on but he’s become a personal favourite), or possibly Zac Butters. If we miss Rankine and draft Rozee/Smith at 5 then I’d be looking for a player who could impact as a small forward to start like Hill or Stack. If we wanted to go tall Bailey Williams would be the only player under consideration.

Smith is just intense in the way he goes about his football, the highlights are good but he likes to handball 'alot'. Agree that King x 2 are butchesque with great hands but dodgy kicks. Both could become awesome though in a couple years.

As many have said, it's all about Rankine for mine, then Smith and Rozee. Later pick (15) i'm a fan of RCD, likes to take it on.

I think Sam Sturt will be in contention for 15. Raw fast leading forward who has a good leap and skills.
