First of all let me say, i dont want to finish last. I would not enjoy winning a wooden spoon for the first time. BUT.. if this were to happen we would be looking at pick 4 which looks like being Andrew Gaff. Im not talking tanking either..i just dont think we are good enough nor are we confident to win many more games this year. We always struggle against North, saints, dogs and pies will beat us. Carlton i think will be up for beating us finally so the only game i see us winning is the Brisbane game but if Brown/Fev have a big night then who knows. I believe West Coast will win a few more home games and lift themselves off the bottom, the tiges are travelling nicely. The only other team that could finish last is Port who are just as terrible but have a new coach and are likely to snare a few wins at times.
The Gold Coast are likely to take Bennell at #1, Day or Darling at #2 and have taken Swallow at #3, so that leaves Andrew Gaff who has been mentioned as a quality midfielder..exactly what we need. So if it comes to pass that we do finish last..if we get over the shame and embarrassment of the wooden spoon, hit the pre-season hard, possibly with a new coach at the helm and put games into a young player like Gaff and start playing a larger midfield rotation.

Its not the best time to bottom out but if we can add a quality midfielder to the group of Watson, Melksham, Stanton, Zaharakis, Myers Winderlich, Colyer, Reimers Howlett and Prismall. Then we might be able to start our climb back up the table with continued improvement from our key talls at either end.
Just repeating..i dont want to finish last. But i think it might happen or at least 2nd last. So we need young players with the quality of Gaff, i really hope we dont trade the pick away.
Just trying to find any positives from a miserable season.
Cheers guys
