Hey guys, not sure if this is the right or wrong place for this thread but I was wondering, even though it's a year out, who would be the early candidate for the No.1 draft pick?

TAC Cup Future Stars earlier in the year nominated Lachie Whitfield as a possibility.

There are candidates like Dayle Garlett, Brodie Grundy, Liam McBean etc etc etc.

If this is in the wrong place, delete it, don't block it.

If the draft was being done immediately Lachie Whitfield would be the number 1 pick. But with the draft 12 months away anything can happen in the meantime.

Top 10 atm for me, probably in the 4-10 range. You're right, his height is a bit of a hinderance, if he were taller he'd be more of a pur emid prospect.

O'Meara is pure class as is Lachie Whitfield. Not much between them but as O'Meara will have a year at an AFL club learning their structures, culture and game plan he should have a bigger impact immediately than Whitfiled. Both should become 200+ game players.

I'm biased but I rate Jai Jordan as highly as the others.

O'Meara physically can't be matched for speed/ strength by anyone in his draft age group. He's not normal.

She also rated Toy ahead of Swallow. Tends to have a strong Victorian bias which may be down to how much she gets to watch and interact with local draftees.

Lachie Hunter looks a definite to get picked up by the Dogs.

I think he is in the AIS so highly rated by Shifter and co. You would think a F/S selection for the maggies.

Havent seen him play but looking forward to watching him this year!
