Oh AceAndy, I'm sorry to hear you're stepping away mate, you're one of the good ones. :( I'll miss you tagging me into the Dragons thread on Fridays with my favourite song, and your confusion when MWPP and I make Harry Potter references. Maybe now that you're retiring and have all this free time you can read them hehehhee..... ;)
I also remember the podcast we did a few years ago which was a lot of fun.

Following on from what I said elsewhere , I feel incredibly flat :( . I am still hoping it’s a joke but I get the impression that it’s not. And if there’s any truth at all to the comments made by others - they’re not only untrue (qooty is for all ages, and you’re one of the best people on the site , hence our attempts to ”shotgun” each other and my hope of playing alongside each other someday), but totally out of line.
You will be missed. Take care and know that the door is always open if you want a return. I will always look fondly back on our banter and that awesome podcast we did too .

Thankyou for all that you have done for the Dragons, AceAndy.

When you broke the news to us a few days ago I was honestly shocked. I've only been in the SFA for a couple of seasons, and I've never known the Dragons to be anything other than "Ace's team". Because that's what it is. The Dragons have a deep and marvelous history, but only a handful of seasons ago they were on the brink of folding. But you stepped up to the captaincy role in only your second season and rebuilt them. From you flying the flag literally solo in match threads, to building a cohesive team of energetic and enthusiastic posters - one that is now developing their own culture and identity. And then there is the S28 Premiership that I'm sure will be remembered fondly by Dragons for many years to come.

I certainly wasn't planning on taking on the captaincy role for some time yet, but I will be happy to honour your wishes and continue the journey you have started. After all, you were the one who recruited me - so me continuing your legacy just feels right.

And as I said in our PM the other day - I'll be sending you a recruitment PM every off-season: you are a Dragon for life, and I'll be damned if the Roys get their stinking hands on you!
