Finally a more unique mid priced team!

Ellis is injured for round one though (highly likely anyway). I think you just lack that captain option - downgrade a player and upgrade hayes/cooney to a swan or kane priced player.

Also, i think your lacking a few keepers - i only see 9-10.

With the mid priced strategy, you want to go for the lower end keepers and the cheapies, whereas most structures have premiums/mid/pricers/rookies. I think you should downgrade a couple of players to people more in the 200k range (if you see fit) and upgrade a few to get those number of keepers closer to 11.

Otherwise a good team, and really different to the norm - you have a few uniques, but im sure youve done your research and thus have your reasons for selecting them.

Good luck in 2009.

ok, i was thinking this however cannot see many real premiums that jump out. Hodge is under an injury cloud. Bowdens moving forward which will have a negative result on his scores. Scotland is injured. Mackie with Harley and Egan out will have to take more of a defensive role. And Sam Fisher seems to be playing a tighter checking role this year.

Any Suggestions?

I had the same problem trying to find that 1 more premium in the backline. I settled on Scotland. I know hes injured at the moment but I believe hes not expected to be out for too long. With Stevens likely to play a role across half back this year I believe this will take all possible attention off of Scotland and onto Stevens. The only downside would be the lack of preseason hes done.

Melbourne back. PLayed one or two games last year and has huge raps from Melbourne supporters.
Abit ugly but had some massive preseason games.

Here is my Dream Team:

B: Goddard, Lockyer, Gram, Drummond, Malceski, R.Clarke, Raines (petrenko, hill)
C: Gibbs, Wells, Foley, Jackson, Grigg, Skipworth (Beams,Davenport)
R: Hille, Jolly (orreal, pyke)
F: Deledio, didak, giansiracusa, sylvia, j.riewoldt, higgins, ziebell (t.walker,Gumbleton)

what are peoples thoughts?

Its different schmidts. I have a few concerns with Drummond, Wells and Sylvia. Drummond is injury prone and is one that will find heavy attention by opposition negating forwards. Wells is too hot and cold to be a dream teamer, and as for Sylvia I've been hearing big opinions of the bloke from other bigfooty members but I'm not convinced yet. How much cash have you got left?

I have about 5k left. So no money really. i understand what you mean about Wells but after watching him play last year his consistency started to get better and i think it is a gamble that could pay off.

Drummond, Raines and malceski in my backline is a bit risky because they are all injury prone but having hill and petrenko on the bench (2 rookies that should get game time) hill in particular lessens the risk.

As for Sylvia unlike a lot of Melbourne supporters who bag him out i rate as a player.

Yeah fair points you raise. After all I admire your decision to think outside the square and come up with a unique team of sorts that should still rack up points and value. Have you thought about starting one of those rookie defenders so you can downgrade one of your other risky backs for some spare cash?

This is doing my head in...
what is the best option out of these two??

A: Adcock, J Mcviegh, Vezpremi

B: Newman, Hazelbly, J Reiwoldt

Was thinking Adcock could score similar to Newman, and im just iffy on Hazelby. And the you'd think J Reiwoldt would be in Richmonds 22 but ive heard Vezpremi is a goer but i know nothing about him only what ive read.

Forwards: Jimmy Bartel, Matthew Richardson, Daniel Jackson, Troy Selwood, Sam Butler, Daniel Rich. Emg: Rohan Bail, Liam Anthony.

Rucks: Drew Petrie, Josh Fraser. Emg: James Sellar, Sam Jacobs.

Forwards: Alan Didak, Brent Harvey, Simon Goodwin, Brendan Fevola, Jaryd Roughead, Shaun Higgins, Hayden Skipworth. Emg: Scott Gumbleton, Mitch Brown.

Possible donuts in backline and midfield.
Richo either pick him in fwdline or not at all, better middies at his price.
Apart frm that goodluck!

just interested how do people see richo? is he worth the price?

I reckon if you are a Richo fan and have the guts to pick him then do it. It could turn out to be the decision that really differentiates your team from others as I dont think many will pick the 34 year old tiger. I have gone for him in Super Coach but won't take the risk of doubling up on him in Dream Team too.
