Jaensch was talked up alot by Goodwin a couple of weeks ago. Was racking up big stats in the SANFL across half back and in the midfield. Two questions:

1. Can he retain his spot over the next few weeks?
2. I read he was promoted from the rookie list for Dangerfield. Now that Danger is back, who is he holding a spot for on the injury list?

Thanks!
He was promoted in place of Otten, who will remain on the LTI list for the rest of the year.

He was selected in the team in place of Dangermouse when Dangermouse broke the bone in his hand. Not sure how long Jaensch will be able to hold his position once players like Mackay and Knights return to the fold. He's very much a week to week proposition at this stage.

OK thanks. Interesting to hear Jaensch mentioned in the Crow's team selection online chat today a) for his long kicking and b) for a potential role running with Brent Harvey this week.

Hopefully he has a ripper!

What role is Jaensch playing for the team? What position?

I havnt seen to many crows games and none with him playing yet.

Is he any chance to hold his spot with Symes, Mackay, Burton, Knights to come back?

Nah i didn't :)... But seriously is he injured or is he just gonna play ruck / forward >.<
tonight, he rucked and played up forward, but also further out, because Walker is the better FF when it comes to leading into space. Tippett at CHF did nothing much, as his kicking is not the greatest. his rucking didn't help his scores either considering both him and Maric and the rest of the Crows third-man-up team were owned by Todd Goldstein.

as i've said earlier on, Tippett will unlikely produce scores like late last year unless he's playing up forward permanently, and at this stage that is not until the Crows bring in a second ruck, in Sellar. Sellar may be pushing for selection in round 9 (next week), so we may see then, if there is any change in Tippett's DT output.

Tony Armstrong's chances of getting regular games?
Hard to say with Johncock, Thompson, Sellar, Sloane and a couple of others available for selection next week. 50/50 at this stage to keep his spot, Webberley is the better option if you are looking at a downgrade.

Armstrong had 25 touches with 13 marks on the weekend and would be a front runner for this weeks rising star (he isn't too old is he?). Has he earned himself a spot for a while especially considering Craig may be inclined to start a few extra kids?
i doubt he'll win the rising star this week...his performance was solid, but nothing special. he (along with quite a few of the backline players) racked up many cheap possessions from chipping the ball around in the backlines (despite getting thrashed at the time).

he'll get a game this week, considering Johncock's return to AFL from injury has been delayed another week due to club suspension. he may very well keep his spot, especially Jaensch's club suspension may see him not return to the side at all.

What do the Adelaide gurus think of Porplyzia? Brought him in couple weeks ago when I thought perhaps he was turning his season around, but hasn't exactly starred...was lucky to break 50 with 2 late goals against the Roos.

Is he on the decline, or is it just poor delivery into FWD line? Any chance Craig will play him further up the ground to get him more ball?

3 years ago, his price was really low, so he was a bargain pick because everyone expected him to play midfield. 2 years ago, him and Burton were our main forwards, while last year him and Tippett were our main forwards and he had a great season, being our leading goal-kicker. he has never really been a big scorer though...averaged 75 in DT last year, which was a great season for him.

Porpz had an interrupted pre-season this year...so he could be a bit underdone, but either way, even at his best, he's not a huge scorer, unless he kicks a huge bag of goals.

plus, Crows have been horrible this year, especially in the midfield, so supply up forward has not been good. he probably does play up the ground, to the point where he's in defense with the rest of the team.

thanks doppel...food for thought. I'll give him another couple rounds though might lose a couple $s.

Im thinking of downgrading to Armstrong, wise choice you think?
depends who else you have on the bench. if your other bench player is playing every game, or likely to play most games, then i'd do it for the cash, but if the other bench player isn't even playing at the moment, then you have to seriously think about it...Armstrong will play this week, and possibly the week after, but with Jaensch out, he looks the first likely to be dropped for players returning from injury, but it could depend on form.

i have Martin and Banner on my bench...and i want to go Martin to Armstrong (frees up lots of cash), but Martin will play every game, and Banner isn't even in the Port side, so i'd be screwed if there was a late withdrawal or injury in my midfield. damn, why couldn't Armstrong be placed in his proper position of defense in DT/SC.

yeah exactly, I have plenty of defenders but I am a bit strapped for midfielders with Shuey injured. I was thinking of getting Armstrong, and then hopefully Shuey will return from injury once Armstrong gets dropped or whatever. The coin would be very handy to then be able to upgrade two players, mainly Kenelley and Gumbleton.

Hey guys, just wanted to get your thoughts on Bock? Thinking of drafting him in this week. How has he been moving? Does he look back to full fitness? Cheers.
Racked up a heap of DT points last week, due to his insistence in switching play from HBF to HBF 5 times for every point scored by the opposition. Unfortunately the answer to your question though is that he's not even vaguely close to full fitness. He's been amongst our worst performed of all the senior players this year.
