More importantly, I am cashing in on J hunt this week and want to know if Simon White will keep his spot going forward. With Waite and a couple of others coming back is he likely to get the ass? I'm chosing between him, Phil Davis (Bock coming back soon) and little Ashton Hams from WC. I have no clue what woosha is doing at selection so am not confident of Hams continuing involvement.

His job security is not good. Bower back this week, Waite, Austin and Thornton are waiting in the wings. He won't be dropped yet but I seriously doubt he'll make it to six games before he is.
 
And to show my appreciation, watch out for Brad Sheppard if he gets a game. Our No7 pick. A little pricey at 133k but worth including for a Maguire or someone like that who is approaching their price ceiling in a few weeks

Jordan Russell... In the last couple of years he's gone from a 55 average in 08 to a 70 average last year and is now averaging 95. In a simple answer: why? Change in role? Or just stepping up now that he's in his fifth season?

Same role as last season. just getting better at it. his confidence is at an all time high.

Your user name would have been more interesting had have you been a Collingwood Supporter.

Warnock will be back and possibly as soon as this week, after a reported great showing with the Ants last week.
We'll know in a few hours time

Is Gibbs going to continue to play down back or will he return to the midfield?

If he returns to the midfield then he's a steal at his current price but if he stays in defense he'll be ok but just not the same.

To be honest, nobody really knows.

His form has been solid if unspectacular and has shown some really good, promising signs in the seniors but has also shown that he struggles on a direct opponent in the backline. His run out of defense has been really promising, however,

Thornton seems out of favour (despite playing yesterday) and White was more-or-less a replacement for him originally. With Thornton and Waite due to return, White's spot was uncertain but one would think that the fact that both those 2 experienced defenders returned and White did not give way for them that these doubts have been quashed.

Henderson still has to return which may unsettle the lineup with so many talls which may be a concern for White but I think Ratten will play him more often than not.

When Hendo does eventually return, I have the feeling that it will be at the expense of Thornton. Whether that means Hendo goes back, or he slots into the forward line & Waite goes down back remains to be seen.

White is on the senior list for Walker but with Walker set to return after mid-season, one would think that he will be on the senior list and eligible for games for the entire season.
 
I note the response above, but with you guys playing well, a few changes made this week, and still no sign of Warnock, what would it take for him to get back in the team? I need some ruck depth! Considering trading him for Skipper and pocketing a bit of cash.

It is a gamble. I'd wait on Skipper to see if he plays (Rucks are coming in and out of sides like crazy, but at Hawthorn he might be a shoe-in). Warnock will probably come back into the side at some point in the year. He is very athletic, and does have good tapwork (this hasn't been evident of late, probably why he was dropped) so should edge Jacobs out some time
 
Whats happening with Marc Murphy?

Does he have an injury thats worrying him or is he copping the number 1 tag these days? Thanks.
 
Anyone know how bad White's injury was?

I noticed on the AFL report it lists white (shoulder) and was wondering what that was about.

He is copping the number 1 tag.

Kane Cornes this week, last week Clinton Jones & Cameron Ling a few weeks before that.

Interesting to note that he has struggled early on these players but for one reason or another has really lifted as the games have gone on. His fitness has improved a heap which has helped this, as has a certain C Judd. It is a huge compliment to him that he has attracted the tags initially over Judd.

DT scores are a little down because of that but he is an absolute gem.
