if you are adamant that you are going to trade Lake for Mohr then this is the week to do it. If you want to watch him for another week to ensure that he has indeed got the scoring potential that he showed in round 1, then that's fine, but not trading him in this week because you are worried he will get hurt is not a valid reason really. If you are sure you don't want Lake and you are sure you want Mohr, then you should trade him in this week, the reason for that is that you don't know what else is going to happen this week that may require you to trade next week. If you have already locked in a Lake--->Mohr trade next week then if anything else goes wrong then you will be left with decisions to make on which trade you are unable to do etc. I think it's important to keep trades available in the first 2 rounds prior to price changes. It allows you to fix up mistakes/cover injuries/suspensions etc. By leaving that trade till next week you are allowing yourself only one other trade prior to that crucial pre-pricechange round.

You make a valid point footylover. Fortune favours the brave.

I'm just concerned that 2 of my other Def rookies might not play. L Brown (definitely won't play yet) and Ellis might get dropped.

If Ellis is selected I will do the Lake>Mohr trade and hold my breath. If Ellis is dropped I will do the L Brown>Mohr trade. (I only picked L Brown to get Bugg's Rd 1 score) really needed it as my defence only scored 440 points with Buggs emergency score.

My other backline rookie is Townsend, who I could start I suppose...

Magner listed as ankle injury out for "indefinite" on DT website

nothing on Melbourne website

Melbourne website I think(hope) is more reliable!

Agree injury isnt really a valid reason

Im also probably going to do the same trade next week. However i have 3 rookies in mind from the backs Bugg, Mohr and Hombasch. Im not sure which is the best option just yet after one game, so i want to get another look. Hopefully i get to see GWS again, for me Mohr was more impressive than Bugg from the Syd game from a football perspective.

Im also not sure if i will trade Lake. Already some talk the dogs may play Talia before his time as a key back to release Lake. Or even push L.Jones down back and bring Cordy in as a forward. Also gives me another 10 days to decide how far Morris is away, atm he is listed as indefinite.

I mean for lake not to lose much value he only needs to score 65 and 65 in his next two and than lose a bit of coin (not much
) than rise a bit in price once that 29 is out of calculations.

Im pretty confident i want another forward premium now though, so the money could come in handy come round 6.

Thanks Trav for the update.

I guess we'll know with more certainty as well if he does/doesn't get on the plane to Perth.

They arrived in Perth yesterday, Magner was there.

I don't think they would fly an injured player across the country and back unless they were very confident about his fitness to play.

magner is starting on the ball,
doubt he'd be listed there even if he was 50/50

the morris/ellis issue is also interesting,
both had average games last week but are both named to start on the ground.

maybe richmond will persist and give them some time.

my dilemma this week is either starting bugg or townsend.
bugg scores 97 last week but with all this talk about him the past week he could get some attention,
meanwhile townsend is listed as starting as the centre midfielder and could rack up.

thoughts?
advise?

Richmond will pump games into their high draft pick in Ellis. Morris played an alright game, his 1%ers were not bad, just not at all dreamteam relevant until he starts to find some of the ball on the rebound. That will come when confidence grows and he'll start pushing off and making his opponent accountable.

Townsend is GWS's tagger/run with player if that makes the choice easier

Id be amazed if Bugg got tagged after picking up cheap 20m kicks. The only people talking him up are the people who have him in dream team.

Also centre midfielder, this isn't soccer its footy :p

Nah this is DWD we're talking about - he probably has Bugg but is trying to dissuade others from getting on board.

Did the same with Ryan Griffen.

Nah, he picked Morris instead.
