Malceski,Raines and Grimes all in your 22. With 2 bench players not guaranteed to get games. Interesting :)

Just doing my own little research on your backline in the past 4 years how many times they have played 22 games

Chad 1
Goddard 0
Lockyer 4
Birchall 2
Malceski 1
Raines 2
Grimes 0

A part from Lockyer who has been very durable, it seems like a very large risk to me. Hope it comes off for you.

The ones in bold have had injury concerns in the preseason and Watts will still be at school in 2009.

Thanks for that. i made a few quick changes.
Backs:Grimes, Goddard, Lockyer, Mundy, Houlihan, Raines, S selwood (rance , Hill)
Mids: Dalziell, Gibbs, Knights, Jackson, Anothony, beams (polkinhorne , rich)
Rucks: Cox , Simmonds (vickery, sellar)
Forwards: Delidio, didak, Gia, higgins, skippy, hentschel, yarran (M brown, zeibell).

i am a bit worried that have 3 brisbane midfielders will almost certainly not work. will probably upgrade polkinhorne to another keeper (even if its a round 4 trade).
i do still have 460k left over at the moment.
i like ot have atleast 100k or so on the side so that my first trade is not limited to buying another cash cow.

Sounds awesome GG. I assume you work for Sportingbet as I can't see anything on the main website. So from this I take it that it will be run by a Sportingbet account but not through their main site. Is that right or can it be accessed from the main page.

My best mate works for the company so I get plenty of info. The dream team betting options will be available on a seperate website, something like sportingbet.com.au/fantasy. There will of course be a link from the main page though and clients will use the same log ins.

hey guys, ive been chopping and changing my team for ages and what i really need is some bigfooty knit-picking.

things that i'm aware of:

- a little risky in the backline
-a little risky in the centre with 2 rookies starting
-riewoldt typically a slow starter but i dont want to waste a trade on picking him up later. averaged 110 in the last 10 games and i want him now.
-morton i think could average 85..and i'm hoping he will be my 7th midfielder come the end of the season.

Anyway here it is:

Backs: Mackie, S.Fisher, Goddard, Houlihan, Raines, Grimes, Collier (J.Frawley. S.Hill)

Centres: Bartel, Dalziell, Gibbs, Morton, Rich, Sidebottom (Beams, Robinson)

Rucks: Cox, Fraser

Forwards: Riewoldt, Didak, N.G.Brown, Deledio, HIggins, Krakouer, M.Brown (W.Thompson, S.Hogan)

Bit dangerous for my liking.

What is wrong with Krakouer?

Nothing really. Having a good pre-season but he's far from a lock. If you have dubious bench players and then couple that with a player like Krakouer then your doubling the risk. I've seen the teams from the last two years that have won the comp and one thing that sticks out is how 'safe' they have played it. They aren't gambling as much as people think you need to. If I was going to pick Krakouer I'd make sure I had the safest bench players I could find.

Would like some feedback on my team. Backs are obviously a weak point, but hopefully they can hold out till I can upgrade them.

Backs
Goddard
Cornes
Gram
Adcock
Houlihan
Petterd
Fisher
(Cheney, Suban)

Mids
Ablett
Knights
Rischitelli

Hentschel
a cheapie (brown, walker, gumby, etc)
(as above)

Should I downgrade Ablett and fix my fwd line up a bit?

Imo, start a rookie in centres instead of 1 of
Rischitelli
Kerr
Foley
Reilly

Then you can upgrade either petterd, fisher, brennan lucas or hentchel (or two depending on how much money saved)

Just my 2 cents.

More of a Supercoach man, here's my team. Any tips from you lads would be good.

B: Scotland, H Shaw, Gilbee, Harley, O'Brien, Gilbert, S Selwood, (Goldsack, Croad)

M: Ablett, Masten, Cotchin, Wellingham, Sidebottom, Rooke, (C Ward, Beams)

R: Cox, Renouf, (Goldstein, Naitanui)

F: Pavlich, Franklin, Lucas, Higgins, Edwards, Anthony, Dawes, (Watts, M Stokes)

what is wrong with it dude?

Don't listen to half the people on here. You don't even have to listen to me if you want.

It's not hat bad, except Naitanui won't be playing Round 1.

Not a bad team really, plenty of unique picks and upside to most of the players.

Do you have any cash left over?

Birchalls in doubt for Rd 1. If your not aware look up on his injury to make sure your happy he will play and do well.

Cousins - Risky choice, I dont see much value. But if your happy with him go with your gut.

Naitanui will not play Rd 1 probably closer to rnd 5 or so.
Thats some bad donuts, definately look to upgrade to a minimum of a kreuzer.

Redo your entire forwardline. I see no value in most of those players.
They are either inconsistent (bad choices to start with), I see no increase in scores or poor value IMO. However if you are happy with them then stick to you guns. Richo is a little risky but the only sort of solid choice I see in the group with buddy being a close second although i do see him having some shockers when hes not kicking straight allowing for a cheap pickup later this year.
