Each year we each see players with great potential for improvement but with enough risk to make us think twice.

This team is embracing that risk. It'll crash and burn or fly me to the stars with little chance of midground. Nearly every selection is risky, it's low on keepers and high on potential keepers, injury risk, slow starters and kids.

BACKS: Goddard, C.Cornes, McPhee, McLeod, Adcock, Malceski, Raines || Hill, Suban

MIDS: Boak, C.Morton, D.Jackson, S.O'Bree, C.Masten, Hasleby || Rich, Robinson

RUCKS: Cox, Fraser || Pyke, Spencer

I still have 196k in the bank if I chicken out. :cool:

Options: :confused:
1 - Upgrade Yarran to D.Thomas as, by all accounts Yarran is a few weeks in the VFL to find match fitness.

2 - Give a top defender the arse, shift Houlihan back and invest the 350ish in another gun fwd. But which defender?

3. Give O'Bree, Jackson or Morton the arse and start a rookie. Use the cash to upgrade Yarran to a gun.

Ideas? :confused:

Just wondering if I should take more risks than I am? Could downgrade Monfries to Skipworth (although I don't rate him as highly as some of you. I'm surpised at the wraps he is getting.) and Tuck to Haselby. That would give me a fair bit of spare cash allowing me to upgrade someone like Thornton to Malceski (I don't see anyone else within my price range), who is another risk. I could also do a similar thing with Krakouer allowing me to upgrade someone else, even a bench player with more certainty about them.

Are there better options than Monfries (although I do like his uniqueness), such as Osborne?

Also what are peoples thoughts on starting Rich, Ziebell and Hill. Is this too much? or about right? Ziebell isn't guranteed games, but without injury Gumby is.

Note: I have used nearly the full salary.

Any and all input is appreciated.

Interesting... I dont think that its worth getting Bartel but I certainly would not be looking forward to coming up against you team. Its a fair effort that despite having all of ABC, you still only have two rookies on field.

wouldnt worry to much about your backs there ok.either way you have 3 keepers and imo a 4th in adcock who should average 80+. houlihan and raines should generate enough cash for straight upgrades to guns. so will hill if he gets enough games. i like team 1 more. hodge is just a gun a must have imo. also tuck and skippy should be straight trades to guns. and i think hill is likely to rise to 300k+. either way both good teams

Thinking of (and it makes me a little sick to think of doing it :eek:) downgrading Cox to McIntosh and using the extra money to upgrade kerr to s.tuck and skipworth to aaron davey or j.morton. I can really see s.tuck tearing it apart in a midfield of cousins, deledio, foley, cotchin and richo.

bad idea mate. kerr should average 85 and tuck maybe 90-95. so thats a 10 point increase. mcintosh will average 75 odd and cox 105+. a 30 point decrease. and skipworth is much better than davey or morton and will make you 150k and a straight upgrade to a gun. leave your team as it is champ its fine. if you want money maybe downgrade nicoski to hill and then upgrade kerr to tuck.

Like most people, I'm still tinkering, but I have a number of potential money makers in my team already. Anyway, as I mentioned, I'm still considering Hill. I just want to be sure (or as sure as I can be on a twilight Sunday fixture at the time of lockout) that he's getting a game in Round 1.

Any Dockers people have any insight into where Stephen Hill is at right now? Is he a certainty for Round 1?
 
im suprised nobody is considering mundy and everyone has locked adcock..
mundy in the centre SHOULD outscore adcock irrespective of where he is playing!

Mundy increased his AVG by 1 last year after a massive hyping. Some people probably got burnt. If Adcock plays defence he will avg 80+, if he plays midfield he should be more adjusted after last year ans get 80+ too. That's how I see it.
