Yep Pods to Reiwoldt would be what I would be doing.

With 2 trades left is doing Lobbe -> Warnock stupid or inspired trading? :D

Could provide much needed cover in the rucks for this week and for the rest of the year. My rucks are Sandi/Clark which probably aren't the most durable rucks out there.

Stupid. Should get Tippett, who is 250k atm, in your forward line. Who are your bench forwards?

Thanks Galacticos.

I can do Hitchcock -> Tippett.

Then i'll have -
Clark, Tippett (Sandi, Macauley)
TDL (Pods, Lobbe)

I think that's much better?

I would be safe and get Hall if you're going for league. Roo if you are going for overall.

So I've got Sandi with no cover and I don't really want to have a zero this week especially. With 3 trades left and 100k I've narrowed it down to these options.

1. Sandi>McItosh (playing Dockers with no Sandi and has been decent over the last month. Also gives me a bit of cash).

2. Lobbe>Browne (sideways trade solely to fill in for Sandi. Not sure about job security).

3. Ballantyne>Tippet (will switch Tippet to the rucks for Lobbe and play Hitchcock. Tippet hasn't been scoring to great lately so would be a bit of a gamble.

Thinking option 1. As much as I want to keep Sandi, getting McIntosh will help with my Ballantyne trade.

Hey All,

I have $56,000 and 4 trades left.

My team is:

Backs: Goddard, Hodge, Gilbert, Shaw, Fisher, Enright, Waters (Emerg: Davis & Webberley)

Mids: Swan, Ablett, Bartel, Selwood, Gibbs, Montagna (Emerg: Gysberts & McNeil)

Rucks: Cox, Sandi (Emerg: Warnock & Lobbe)

Fwds: Goodes, ROK, Pavlich, Buddy, Didak, Rockliff, Brown (Emerg: Pods & Watts)

Thinking of a couple of trades this week.

Pods (on my bench) --> Ellard (to net me $201K)

or

Brown --> Riewoldt

or

Shaw --> Lake

or I could just do Pods --> Riewoldt and sit on my 3 trades.

Thoughts?

With 3 trades left I would be wanting to conserve them, in which case option 3 would be best and then fingers crossed Hitchcock and Tippett have decent games. It depends on if you're going for a league win, if you have a double chance etc...

My question is whether to upgrade Luke Ball to Boyd
OR
upgrade Malceski to Brian Lake ????

Kelly just said Pods will play, just so you know.

As for your trade, either Riewoldt or Lake. Preference would be for Blake.

Who is Pods going to play for?

Im wanting to bring in Chappy, but im getting rather nervous about him being a late omision.
Also previously in the year we've seen guns being left on the emergency list and being last minute inclusions (sewel for buddy, and there was another case of it, but i cant remember who).
ALSO - geelongs bench is very tall with Pods and West, so clearly there is a risk to either a tall, or they are thinking about going taller.

And finally, i dont think Geelong should care too much about winning or losing this week, and hence im surprised they havent rested someone as it could be a brusing encounter. So a late omission wouldnt surprise me.

i've held off on getting chappy all season, the bloke is a gun, is it a big risk to pick him up this week. Any more of a risk that any other week?
Does anyone else have anything on Pods being a late inclusion?
Would anyone consider Goodes or Sylvia over Chappy?

Sylvia over Chapman easily.

Trading out Gumby down to a TDL/Ellard/ type guy... Free's up enough cash for me to turn Pods into anybody except Chapman, who I wouldn't risk getting at this stage anyway...

I already have Pav, Gia, ROK, Buddy, Harvey and Didak..

Who to go out of Sylvia, Thomas, Goodes, Reiwoldt, etc?

Hey guys, just want some input in regards to my team and my trade possibilities:

B: Hodge, Goddard, Gilbert, Malceski, Enright, Carrazzo, Shaw (Webberly, Roberton)
M: Swan, Montagna, J Selwood, Cooney, Thompson, Mitchell (Mcneil, D Martin)
R: Sandilands, Hille (Trengove, Warnock)
F: Goodes, Pavlich, Didak, Gia, ROK, Franklin, Hall (Higgins, Pods)

5 trades, 64, 800 in the bank.

Pods > 77, 800 rookie
Roberton or Webberly to Lake

then sub Shaw as an emergancy for Lake.

Or do i bolster the midfield with an ablett or something? Not sure what to do, I could do something wild such as bring in a 3rd ruck as well.... thoughts?

I think Lake is a good option for now. I would be tempted to bench Carrazzo cos he is playing a defensive role every week recently.

Bolstering the midfield would also be possible with your other trades. Lake should not be rested, However a lot of the gun mids have question marks over whether they will have a rest in the last three weeks.

fwiw Lake this week, and then if Ablett or the like is rested next week bring them in the week after if you can.

Question:
I have 2 trades left and a possible two options:

Option 1.
Trade Ricky Henderson to Trent Dennis Lane and upgrade Pods to Adam Goodes

Option 2
Trade Ricky Henderson to Trent Dennis Lane and upgrade Josh Hunt to Brian Lake
Any advice would be swell :)

Tough call. Personally id go with option one. I know that lake has been kicking goals, but one of the things that i have always looked at is getting better forward players purely because they are forwards and Goodes runs through the midfeild as well. There is always a chance where a back men (i know lake runs off and kicks goals) will have a dog day. I wouldnt want this to happen in the finals.

I have 4 trades left and not sure where to go with it.

Why would you waste cash upgrading weberly/roberton to Lake, just to put shaw/carazzo on the bench. I would keep weberly and roberton as bench players and upgrade either shaw or carazzo up to lake. Same outcome on the field, with extra cash for later trades.

Trade hams (out for a few weeks) down to 77k rookie then upgrade Tippet to anyone other than tippet. Rough calculations suggest you can afford someone up to $400,000. What about picking up Roo and saving a few $$$ for the last two trades.

Thanks mate

I was looking at Armstrong or Hams. Not sure on Armstrongs JS so getting in say Hardingham is tempting as il hopefully have a back up for the rest of the year. What do you think?

Good idea, i was thinking armstrong was still playing.
If your happy with the look of Hardingham (i havent paid attention to him - not looking for a mid downgrade at the moment), then go for it. That will give you the cash, and a backup in the midfield. Just check before you do it if the slight difference in cash will stop you from picking up someone in the forward line with the tippet upgrade. You should be fine though.
