Im not a fan of this bloke, think he has a problem with the club can recall him being a smart @rse about Motlop wanting to leave last year.

Can someone answer?
Yesterday being Mon the 20th, he elouded to off-field changes to the Kangas, said that he would elaborate after the news. I had to go can someone tell what this was all about, 1 fitness bloke 2 Nifty Nev 3 Board changes?

Read it in the papers when the club admits what has happened.( coaches ) they will eventually come clean. Sauce not to be revealed. ( l do like hot dogs and sauce though)

Or perhaps you read Caroline Wilson's article in today's Age. She said that there would be changes to the football department, so it's not that hard to find the names of the assistant coaches and join the dots.

As for the fitness guy, we'll wait and see on that one.

Was chatting to a guy at the VFL Grand on Sat who reckoned the Allan was getting the boot, didn't say anything about Hamilton or the Fitness coach.

Also said Sinclair would be traded.

This bloke reckoned he knew a couple insiders at the club and that he was on talking terms with Nifty.

He didn't mention anything about Nifty going either.

He seemed fairly astute and he picked up Chris Bond and Peter Mann talking to our boys just down from where we were sitting.

PS, heard on up country footy late this morn (had a day of work) on SEN that Fitzgerald could be going back to Nth Ballarat

I heard Hamilton speak on radio the other week and he seemed to have quite an astute footy mind. I'd be surprised if we let him go.

Allan seemed to be an inexpensive assistant coach. He's almost anonymous in what he does. I seem to remember that he spent time as a human resources manager before he went into footy fulltime - with rumblings over things like the Harvey boys and Sinclair, one wonders if he was ever good at his previous job.

Also said Sinclair would be traded.

I could live with that. He should only get a 2 year deal - if he's holding out for 3, he's done nothing to justify it and can move on.

Peter Mann works for the AFLPA these days. Apparantly he still considers himself to be a North Melbourne person (well, he's divided his loyalties between us and Fremantle).

Peter Mann is a person i always shake my head at. Was being groomed as our CHB. In 1995 he decides to run home to WA, over the next 4 years we win premierships in 96 and 99, whilst he is captain of a side that gets smashed almost weekly .

Would be extremely surprised if Hamilton gets the Lemon and Sars.......

Hamilton or Allen will go for mine. I can't see McDonald taking over from Royal as midfield coach, so he will probably become forward coach forcing one of Allen and Hamilton out. I think German will be midfield coach. This is all just speculation though...

Yeh, I thought that Allen was more a player welfare type than actual assistant coach.

Prehaps we're thinking that we can use his wage to employ another dedicated assistant and handle the welfare stuff another way?

Paul Hamilton - Ex Ess premiership player, half back flanker, early to mid 80's, coached in SA, I think runners up in SAFNL, before Pagan enticed him over, stayed on when Laids got the job. Well qualified with business degree in Bus/Admin, could possibly run the club at some stage.

Anthony Allen - Ex VFA player, not sure who with, did player welfare jobs at Box Hill Hawks then came over to us last year, (I think) to help the newbies settle in.

A caller tonight on 3aw suggested that Shannon Watt and John Baird would be traded to Melbourne for Travis Johnstone. Reckoned the deal was 90% done. I don't usually take any notice of these sort of rumours but I hadn't heard this one before. Is Travis Johnstone worth TWO players?????

I think there is a better deal to be done- Ferguson & Jolly (Wants to leave Dees anyway if you believe some reports) for Baird & Watt..

Watt for Jolly- both experienced- not stars, but good enough for the level. Ferguson for Baird, basically one defender for another.. I like Mr Ferguson.. loved his first game on Richo. He could fill the FB gap that Watt will leave. Is a great height- 195cms. We also get the ruckman we want.. as Simmonds seems like he'll stay a docker.

Didnt someone on this board say mid year that the dees were chasing Watt last year?

Amazing.

You really need to look beyond that small circle and get a feel of who else performs important duties at the club.
