Another point is how do we know there is going to be an overhaul next season, or the season after that. Besides, anyone that manages their roster shouldn't complain anyways, everyone tries to get backups everywhere.

1. Dspeed, sure, i know it requires a vote. i wouldnt do anything unless the vote was there. all im saying is the comp needs an overhaul. better one time overhaul and seriously would never undergo a roster/scoring change again.
2. Mordikai....the cutthroat system is better and doesnt need testing because you can already see from the cutthroat league page that the scoring itself DOES achieve what its planned to do....balance such that all positions become important for waivers, trades, drafts. it is self-evidently perfect/better merely by looking at the rankings across all positions. balance is achieved.
3. Larkis....dynasty was SUPPOSED to be the cutthroat scoring, so the current scoring isnt perfect because it isnt the cutthroat scoring that it was intended to be. only reason the scoring/roster is the way it is now is because i had to rush last year, setting up 3 leagues, organizing 36 people, and LMing 3 drafts of 34 rounds before the season started, cos we were running out of time.

This year, i had time to sit down and patiently diligently set up the cutthroat scoring. i did it over 3 days, as i analyzed NFL stats over the last few years. Finally, without a rush, i got it done, and am satisfied. That's it. good to go for the next 40 years without needing a change to the roster, or scoring.
Right now, im not rushed to set up 3 cutthroat leagues because i got it all done in May! and have 30 people already. but last year, i didnt set up an actual dynasty page until july, and had to rush with dspeed and mordikai throwing me numbers of what usual custom league scoring is, so i just did it quickly, because they assured me in 2009 i could sit down properly and re-do it how i wanted originally.
If i had that time last year with dynasty, that wouldve been the scoring method. While the roster for Dynasty needs a little tweaking....probably just making it 10/10 starting IDP/OPs. probably retain 34 keepers, 40 roster size, 6 round draft. not much change there. just a tweak.

GG, i understand you think changes are needed and i respect your right to believe that and push for change, but may i please ask that if change does not occur which seems will be the case, that this will not hang over us the entire season. I dont want to really hear about it every week throughout the season as the league will become more about the debate about the system then good hearted trash talk about what happens on the [imaginery] field

i didnt harrass anyone thru 2008 season. i wont thru 2009. i only will nag when the seasons over. cos theres a limited window open there to get changes in and prepare everyone for their roster cuts, 34 keepers, and before the draft starts. as we've seen this off-season, people hold their ground against change and so if im all about getting change to occur, it requires a LOT of spade-work to try to convince people to embrace it. ive been on this now for 2-3 months since the season ended and only have 7:12 to show for it!! so it's hard work for me unless others chip in and embrace.
also, i really want no one to quit dynasty if changes occured in 2010. rosters wont be ruined and theres no reason for people to quit. i just ask everyone yet again to in yourselves just think about it, a better balance in scoring/rosters, for the long-term good, and try to warm to it, please.
so for now....let's just agree everything stays as is and everyone get back to thinking about your cuts and drafts, and making trade deals with everyone. im looking for more negotiations with people.
