and you can find out whos not on a roster because all non-keepers are in the FA pool right now to choose from.

when you click PLAYERS it will show you everyone who is available.

Well that was unexpected. I was going to trade out of 5 if Stafford was gone, would never have thought Stafford and Sanchez would be there. Pleasant surprise....

Sunday manu. Whoever had pick 4 didn't need to pick until Sunday if they didn't want to.

Similar to the NFL draft, the Lions announced their pick days before the draft. If ya know who you want then may as well make the pick early.

Sunday apparently. Fine if it's started but tends to favour those with more time on their hands or too much time on their hands like GG. More time to contemplate trades etc and time to pm proposed deals.

I still have PMs out there with a couple people negotiating trades.
Right now, mordikai's been on the clock for half a day, he PM'd me earlier ready to post his pick, but can hold back for days if he wants cos he is asking around for a couple trades.

Theres no great rush with this draft. Only 6 rounds, and us alpha-ians will race thru it in the next week or two.

Just thought "**** it" could start now whoever is ready to post their pick.

But...there is a 'deadline' of around july 25. Before camp starts, to have the draft finished, and everyone drafts blind.

You may have to get someone else to co-own sleepy's team and make picks for the draft, and if sleepy doesnt return or too late, the other person can take the team full-time.

again, pm wce_all_da_way, and oscarman. i have goedy lined up to take larkis' spot, but also wanted to see if oscarman and wce would first like to take larkis' spot....to give them that choice first as they might not have any fantasy teams at all.

hey guys , what time are we doing this draft (or atleast starting it) cos the 5th july is my Bday and i'll be out all day and won't be home til atleast 7pm that night.

It can start anytime between now and the 5th, and if you're not around on the 5th till night time, that's ok.

Only 6 rounds, sure to get thru it quickly. There's no great rush, but looking at finishing no later than July 25.

Good pick btw, Stafford should provide plenty of fantasy value with Calvin Johnson to throw to.

I couldve gotten all my players at lower slots, but i dont wanna run no risks, plus i have a few players at #13 im looking at. if i took robiskie then id have no shot at them later.

also, my draft board of man-crushes was in that order with robiskie 3rd best (to me)

The good thing is.....players of great value are falling down the draft order for others to pick up in the late first round, players who those people might've thought they had no shot at getting.

I'll rephrase an explanation...
Overall, I had them ranked:-
Brown
Moreno
Sanchez/Stafford
Robiskie

Thing is, i couldnt split the QBs. Sanchez more smarts and pocket presence, Stafford more x factor and big play ability. Sanchez in the better team, but rushed and over-hyped. Stafford in the worse team/OL, history of ruining QBs, but has C.Johnson to throw to. So even split that in the end i decided i didnt feel sure picking one over the other given that 50% generally bust. So it was a punt 50-50 i wasnt prepared to make. And therefore elevated the clear sure-fire WR i rated.

Before, when i had the #1, #4 and #7....the general idea was that if i take Brown #1, then Moreno (my clear cut #2) is gone, so at #4 id choose QB, and #7 the WR. But neither QB stood out clearly from the other QB. So move up, get the two top RBs on my board and the WR at #7.

I wont go into the reasons why I like Brown better. But I couldve taken Moreno at #1 and Brown at #4, and was planning to do that, but just to make 100% sure traded up and gave away a couple later picks no big deal.

Robiskie's a good get IMO. Was hoping he'd be there at #15.
In fact was so certain he would be I traded down from #11 to #15.
Oh well there's a list 8 more players I wouldn't mind getting and only 7 more picks until my pick.
