Are we as a club taking covid seriously? This is not unlucky anymore. Why is this not happening to all clubs? Do they have stricter conditions being set by their clubs? Are our players ignoring their instructions surrounding covid?

Just can't keep saying this is bad luck anymore. There is something going wrong
80% of players over east have had it, they were just lucky their peaks were before the season

It's the WA government close contact rules isn't it? It's unfair that Freo and WC have to play handicapped compared to their opposition this year but not sure what the solution can be other than WA premier changing the rules

There are no close contact rules anymore. If you're asymptomatic you can do whatever.

No the rules have changed and are in line with eastern states.

Omicron is as infectious as measles, which means you can enter a room 30 mins after a person who is positive has been there and catch it.

Once it was in the club, it’s going to end up pretty much effecting everyone

As others have said, Freo is the only fair comparison.

It sounds like they are doing more in terms of splitting people at training and that sort of thing, but to be fair they are in a very different position. For a start they have fewer players with kids -which seems like the main vector - but also they are in a position where the cost of sub-optimal training is much less than missing players and losing games. The Eagles are losing anyway, I suspect their view is that they need to get whatever they possibly can out of training as a squad.

Covid protocols or stress leave?

Let’s hope he takes a good month or two to fully recover. Pop the feet up Simmo you’ve earned a rest, and stay off bigfooty

It sounds like they are doing more in terms of spitting people at training and that sort of thing, but to be fair they are in a very different position. Spitting? That would make it worse :p

I guess we’re swallowing then

And my daughter just had it the 2nd time. The 2nd time 8 weeks after the first.

Works in schools and everyone is getting it the 2nd time, omnicron variant.

Interstate players are getting it still, just not to the extent West Coast are. Freo lost what 3 this week?

So 22 AFL listed players available for selection.

Can't wait to see how we go v Lions.:straining::sick::sick::sick:

No Simo this week either. Now what would be interesting if the boys pull another rabbit out of the hat aka Collingwood. THAT would certainly cause a stir with the Simo coaching future discussion and the future of several players.

Of course there is something going wrong Wce players are not taking Covid serious and think the 3 Rd jab makes them immune to Covid ..
