Eagles injury list - Worst in the AFL?

Sampi, Wooden & Butler haven't been able to make your side all year, and i'm not making any judgement on Cousins, but he is not out because of inury. That leaves Judd, Staker, Hansen, Chick & Stenglein. Not a bad bunch but hardly anything worse then Adelaide, Saints, Melbourne or even C'wood (who basically have their top 3 backmen on the sidelines).

BTW reigning premiers, 3rd on the ladder, percentage from 2nd and a game from 1st...Seriously, why the need to make excuses anyway?

Butler is a walk-up start. He's been injured all year.

Judd and Cousins are our 2 best players, while Hansen is extremely important to our structure. Stenglein is our best tagger, and highly underrated. Just ask Adelaide supporters. Chick hasn't been great this year, but generally has been an important player for us. Staker was in career best form.

I'm not saying we absolutely have the worst injury list. I'm just trying to figure it out.

Gee, no bias there. Ash Hansen, as I'm sure you're aware, is one of our most important players. Check our win/loss ratio depending on whether he is in or out.

Actually Milkman you are right, I'll take that back. Hansen though unassuming is a very good player when fully fit. Also a very good kick for goal.

A genuine loss to the Eagles that would often go unnoticed.

Everything you said is pretty much correct except about Butler. Being injured all year, played 2 games in the WAFL to get match fitness but reinjured himself

Happy to be corrected on Butler Milkman & Mudgeathon and take it back...no claims to being an expert on the Eagles' list. Although i'd still suggest that Big Cox's claim is a little over the top. I'd suggest that a good blast from some of his fellow club supporters may do wonders.

Agree too Milkman that Cousins is one of your top 2, but he is NOT injured. I'm making no judgement on the bloke but as mentioned it would be akin to Freo claiming Tarrant or Farmer are on their injury lists.

Agreed, so what? Believe Big Cox's OP referred to the WC's injury list. Voss is still on our list, maybe we have the worst injury list?

Apparently he got a whack in the head last week and damaged an eardrum. Doesn't mean he can't play, but does mean he can't fly!

Ben Cousins - Indefinite
Ashley Hansen - 4 weeks
Brent Staker - 1-2 weeks
Daniel Chick - 1 week
Sam Butler - 3 weeks
Tyson Stenglein - 1-2 weeks
Ashley Sampi - indefinite
Josh Wooden - 8 weeks

Alot of quality on the OUTS list there. Not necessarily the size of the list just the quality of players missing which is the problem for us atm. You miss Cousins but then when his heir apparant in Butler is also out too its extra damaging. Hopefully we can overcome the injuries in the next fortnight and come away with 2 wins

Right now, in this week's game, we probably are missing the most quality from our list of any club. Luckily for us most of those players will be back in a few weeks, so it's not as bad as having them out for the season, but it's a pretty long injury list.

Of course they are going to disaggree, they will say "MY" club has the worst injury list etc.. its what always happens, whether people just enjoy the constant arguing or really dont clue on and think ahead of what will happen.... whats the whole point? trying to say this is why we are loosing? who cares does it matter trying to tell opposition supporters why? Big Cox has already asked the question, which relates to the injury list...I was just trying to make a point that Cousins is not really injured, so technically he shouldn't be on an injury list. And also that at least 2 of those listed haven't been able to make the team anyway.
