It hasn't rained in Perth since 9am yesterday but prior to that 17mm which is a good drop. The ground should be soft and some

Serious. This is the business end of the season, and in our first quarter last week we saw what we are going to dish up from here out (I hope!).

GWS have been weak for a few weeks; they're fading as all young sides tend to do - not sure I draw much from WCE getting up next week.

Also, the trip to WA will bring out in the team the memory of their last real failure - last year's QF.

I'm really confident about this week. Hawks by 46, and a big (bottle of!) red in front of the TV; then 4 MCG victories from immortality.

They were talking on SEN when will Clarko give the pow wow talk to the players and all agree it won't be this week..
All Clarko cares about is finishing top 4 not top spot which is why I think they won't give their all tonight..

The fact that there is not much in it in terms of the line (3.5) is a good indication that is basically an even money game.

I'm sure many punters will favour the Eagles due to their win last week and the fact they are at home. However, the Eagles have played no good sides (other than Adelaide and North if you consider them a good side) at home this year and other than last week, haven't troubled the other top 8 sides (been easily beaten by us, Shitney, Geelong, Adelaide) and also lost to WB.

We also match up well against them and appear to have the mental edge over them presently. Tonight, away from the G we will see if that holds true.

If Nic Nat gets on top and Shuey and Priddis dominate the clearances we could be in trouble but neither of those things has happened on the past two occasions.

Hopefully the wet weather comes as that favours us significantly given the respective forward line setups.

Trouble is the drive is 1.5 hours then 35 mins by train, then you sit at one end of a ridiculously long, open, flat stadium where the players up the other end look like frikken ants . . and . . and (end rant).
