Do we really need to bring in Cox?

Everyone seems to be talking him up alot, he better live up to his expectations.

Dicky I think might go alright.

When are Bucks and Dids back?

Nicholls should probably get a crack against Richmond, playing West Coast over there I wouldn't expect many debutants to get alot of the ball.

I agree about cox, he did nothing last year when i saw him play at Willy, i actually was suprised that we kept him. Thats not to say that he hasnt had a huge pre-season and is ready now, dont know , havnt seen him yet this year. i just find it strange he has made such a massive leap in 6 months.
Is he ready? or is he the new flavour of the month?

I doubt brad D will play yet, not that he doesnt deserve it but Leon is playing well and i dont know if we would have room for them both in the side.

I Dunno about Nicholls, one week he looks fantastic and then the next he looks terrible. I didnt think he was ready to play last week.

It was a bad debut, people seem to forget Thomas debut round one last year and had 16 touches and kicked 2 with all the pressure of being the no2 draft pick, Pendlebury debut round 10 and im not sure of his stats but he was ok, and Iles debut round 18 against top of the table Crows and had 16 touches and nulifying Bode in the process. Nicholls was no way ready sat night, it wasnt fair to play him.

Yes we need to at every chance develop key defenders. Richmond would be a good team to try him out on IMO.

He is ready. He is 21 so is a mature age recruit anyway. I agree with your assessment of his last year. Probably the worst player on our list besides the automatic delistings in Hall and C.Morrison in terms of output. He was raw and showed a few glimpses late last year.

Preseason form has been stunning. Has got the body of the AFL footballer and moves like one. I think he came to the club as a long limbed but probably didn't have the body shape someone of his frame should have. He played as a smaller key forward and an even smaller ruckman (if you know what I mean) as a youngster but has looked all class since moving down back.

You need medhurst in ur team. He has a fantastic 2nd and 3rd effort. Which is super important in a forward line, coz rocca does not have a lot of efforts after his first, but he normally uses the first effort well.

U also need cloke. Dont even think about dropping him, he is very important for the structure.

U need chris Bryan to come in. A lot stronger than richards and can play both ends aswell.

Nicholls HAS TO GO. Look nothing against the kid. But that was the worst first game i have seen.

Ins: Bryan, *****
Outs: Richards Nicholls

thats great to hear, like i said i havnt seen him this year.
it will be great seeing him against the tigers friday night.

its difficult sometimes not living in Melbourne as you really need these boards to get an idea of how the young guys are going, and with the utter bs that somepeople post, it makes it hard to realise if a player is close or if he is just the flavour of the month.

but thanks for that , i believe you, sounds like he has come along nicely over the summer, goodluck to him friday night. (if he plays,)

After watching Cox on the weekend i'd be surprised if he didn't get a call up he was easily best on ground in my opinion he doesn't mind having a run with the footy and banging it long so i'd like to see him in a black and white jumper this weekend.

Cox is the biggest improver we have had since Jimmy Manson

Looked bloody awful when he arrived - could not believe that Hine had drafted him but I am now sold - he is a panther - fast and strong. Greta pick up Hiney!!

If only he had not drafted Goldy and Iaccabooch.

First time I say Iacca knew he was no good and Goldy a real trier but no class at all. Will not make it.

Goddamit.. Lewis averaging 27 disposals... the one time we don't go for a fat arse mid and he turns out to be a diesel... Oh well, bring up the flakey flanker we chose instead of him...

In: Egan D1ck Cox Toovey
Out: Licca Nicholls Wakes Medhurst

B.O.G for Williamstown. A touch of class about him. Good enough to hold down centre-half back.

He is ready to play senior football, not like Daniel Nicholls.

A week ago Nicholls was the next Judd.

I was just reading this board and thought it interesting that so many of you people want waleklin out for match up purposes.
I would have though Presti would go to Richo and then you would need to Wakelin to match up on Schultz or Polak if he goes foward. On the same topic, who do you think will match up on our fowards?

Richo: Probs Presti
Pettifer:Lockyer or O'Brian?
Schultz: Maxwell or Wakelin?
Brown(if he plays): Clement
Krakouer: H Shaw playing loose
Simmonds(If he plays, he will rest up foward alot): Wakelin?
Polak:???

Clearly Richo, Schultz, Simmonds and Polak won't all be up foward at the same time.

Whats your match-ups?

simmonds wont play
brown wont play

presti can cover richo
maxwell can take schultz
harry to petts
clement to krak
polak when forward can switch clement onto him

no need for wakes, richmond are the weakest KP team going around

People calling for cloke's axing should forget about it coz it aint going to happen. He is very important to our structure and he hasnt really been THAT bad, there have been far worse offenders than a 20yr old. I think Nicholls deserves another chance, bit rough on the kid to debut against wce so give him another go, but licca needs to be axed, and wakes to be dropped for match up purposes to allow us to bring in at least cox and egan possibly d1ck. I wouldnt mind seeing sammy iles play how has he been progressing??
