Always been a few locals who have wanted EF out of Moss St. Agree about the 9 disruptions per year comment mate, and to think crowd numbers are way down compared to the "disruptance" of EF playing at Moss St back in the 80's/90's for the non footy approving locals.

I guess EFFC are hanging on to play at the new complex, so they can raise their 2023 premiership flag this year, instead of next, whilst they are still reigning premiers. Will look a bit odd and anticlimactic if they did it in 2025....especially if EF don't make finals in 2024 to defend their flag.

The Cl loss was a huge dent into EF defence aspirations......still time and thank fudge EF have a decent %.....but that 4 pt penalty might come back to bite big time me thinks at the finishing line for finals footy qualification.

Perth at MRP on Sat, the Demons will have their tails well n truly up after that WP win.....and so will their FF in Clarke after his 8 goal haul last weekend. Not a good time to lose the skipper, but in saying that Jupp has had a few bags kicked on him this year....and Marlin is a great replacement for Jupp I reckon.

Joyce sounds like he is out as well, but EF do have great depth in their mids, with McDonald playing well in the reserves and the likes of Cleaver and Baskerville having spells off half back. Would like to see one of Meade or Murphy back....even both...as both are under rated and quality footballers.

BMcGuire or Walker's outside zip is needed as well, can see Schoenfeld making way TBH. The big bodies of HMarsh and Jansen will be needed to combat the likes of Constable and Thompson from Perth at the contest. Should be a good midfield battle between the two sides.

Considering Perth only lost by 4 pts last time they met, and Constable, Avery and Clarke weren't playing, I can see why the Perth fans will be optimistic with securing the win on Sat. Hopefully a few changes in personnel, could see EF intent return, as there were a few passengers v Cl last weekend.

No Jupp, so a compulsory 3 week minimum respite for the skipper, if it's a head knock. Marlin comes in as expected to FB and Joyce is out with a few potential replacements on the bench.

Walker and Murphy come in with Marlin, with Jupp, Joyce and Schoenfeld going out.....Walker's zip will definitely help, whilst Murphy's versatility is a bonus

Would of thought with Freo playing in Tassie on Sat, they would take a traveling emergency at least, in case someone goes down prematch with an injury....but regardless who is in or out for Peel, if EF want to play finals they need to beat the likes of Peel.

This commentary is poor. Brandon Walker did not debut.
Turner is not south Australian.
Needs to learn more than a few sentences
That bloke regularly does Peel games, always has some wacky things

Like when players have played AFL all season and then he seems so shocked that they are going well in one of their first games for Peel

Must be one of the very few that genuinely don't follow AFL at all, only watches lower level footy

Yeah we take 1 player over, in this case it was Brodie

Altho Reidy also didn't play today, interested in what happened to him, didn't make the trip to Tassie either

Peel lost Erasmus early and basically their first choice midfield in Reidy, Brodie and Erasmus were all out.

Easts probably should have won by more, let Peel kick too many when the game was dead

But then again who is to say Taberner would of kicked those few as he did in the last, if Jupp had been playing. Joyce is as important to EF as Brodie is to Peel at the inside contest, whilst Boekhorst provides EF similar zip from the contest as Erasmus does Peel. Knobel actually collected the hit out numbers that Reidy would of.
....
Yep agree not Peel's best side, but Erasmus got injured like what Joyce did a few weeks back, early on in a game, that's footy ....as for Brodie and Reidy, well them's the "perks" of being an aligned club. EF did what they had to do, not finals bound yet, but definitely the win they needed.

According to the WAFL website, andana, Fraser Turner hails from South Adelaide.

HAVING got to experience his career highlight with last year's WAFL premiership at East Fremantle and now thriving on the West Australian lifestyle, it's fair to say Fraser Turner's move west was the best decision he ever made.

Turner might only be 24 years of age, but has now already played state football in four states having grown up in Tasmania, then joining Richmond and playing in the VFL before spending time in the SANFL at South Adelaide, and having joined East Fremantle last year.

Originally from the Clarence Roos JFC in Tasmania, Fraser was the youngest player drafted in the 2018 AFL draft, going to Richmond with pick 58. 4 picks later, at pick 62, Richmond picked up young West Australian, Luke English and the friendship between the 2 created the link that has led to Turner making the move West.

Whilst all remaining games are huge for EF....EF % will be as important to their finals aspirations, as will be that 4pt penalty.

WP away next week will be a challenge, regardless of where WP are presently. That win at Peel will be a confidence booster to EF, as Peel's home ground is usually a fortress for the them....as is WP's home ground is. ....then there is SF after the bye, followed by EP and SD.....with WCER as the qualifying finale....if EF make the top 5, it will be well earned that is for sure.

Yeah, thats why I was annoyed they shut off and let Peel kick all those late goals
Yeah frustrating....but dropping a 40pt lead to a' 22pt win, ain't that bad in the grand scheme of things....but yeah frustrating none the less.....though EF did kick 2 of the last three goals for the match......
