Know the name- can play. Rumours have luke morosi moving to Bermagui, possible playing coach? They move up to senior grade next year and are undefeated reserve grade this year. Heard anything?

Haven't heard a thing. Pretty good footballer though, strong body, although i've found him to be fairly dirty.

Don't know anything about the footy side of things but I Luke is definitely moving to Bermagui to live so I'd say you're on the money.

Mark Sellings for league b&f, anyone agree. He was unstoppable last week against OSR. 5 goals from the middle, ball on a string. Any other maybe's for the medal.

Even though he has missed a few games this year, Albie Marshall from Lakes has a good chance. Your right with Sellings, he has had a great year for the Pies. It has been an even season this year in terms of outstanding players, so whoever wins it will only win marginally.

A roughie maybe Kaine Bulmer from Lindenow, yes/no?

Also Michael Heyne has had a solid year for your mob....

Heyne a definate chance, he has had a good consistant year with out too many taking votes off him, Disco will have to share the votes with Gherkin and Dyer. Marshall is a standout for Lakes, could get 2 medals in a row. Bairnsdale and Wy Yung have had a lot of good players, probably share the votes around.

Played U18s all year, not sure why.
Good win on the weekend by your boys. I suppose it was only against Paynesville though.....

That game was the closest result of the round after Wy Yung smashed Lucknow along with Bairnsdale against Lindenow. A round of results more commonly seen in the Omeo League rather then the EGFL.

Good second half anyway. We were only up by 2 or 3 goals at half time.
It's a shame Lucknow and Lindenow have fallen away so badly. For once the competition looked fairly even in the early stages. What I want to know is how Lindenow can go from grand finalists to cellar dwellers? Sure they lost Toddy, but what else happened?

Who knows whats happened to those Cats? Its dumbfounded a lot of people as like you said, Todd Redenbach was the only major omission from their previous years side.

Lucknow also had it hard this year especially with all those off-field issues they had. Losing your coach mid-season as well as the 3 major recruits that they got from Churchill from the North Gippy league could never end well I suppose, and thats shown with their position on the ladder.

It has been dissapointing in some aspects this year, but the eveness of the top 3 sides has kept the interest there. It's going to be a good finals series between your mob, Wy Yung and Bairnsdale. My money is still on the Tiges though only just......

i've only seen a handful of games this year (2 or 3 tops) but from what i've gathered it'd be Bairnsdale or Wy Yung with Lakes as rank outsiders?

seems like anyone of those 3 could win it

Out from GF side in 07 -
Todd Redenbach (Wy Yung)
Ash Watt (Boisdale)
Chris Blandford (Inj - broken leg/ret)
Huw Evans (ret)
Geoff Young (ret)
Matt Kell (ret)
Ben Burchall (ret)
Cal Clancy (?)
Kenny Pendergast (ret)

Greg Musselwhite (Inj)

Places taken by 3rds guys with the exception of Mick Delaney from Bairnsdale, need a bit more size. Some really good young guys Jenner, Busch, Simmonds, Vicary, Mitchell, Gardiner, Dumaresq, dunno how many will move on to uni next year though.

the final maragin was about 85 points.

yep, dissappointing effort from Lakes it would seem...

Wy Yung v Bairnsdale G/F...

Wy Yung seem to be the team to be beat but the Redlegs' performance on the weekend would suggest they're every chance of knocking them off..

i'm gonna say Bairnsdale by 5 points

Yeah it was a huge anti-climax. Bairnsdale came out all guns blazing and just left the stunned Lakes boys behind not even letting them register a score in the 1st quarter. Lakes were never in the hunt and were hurt bad by injuries early on. Bairnsdale also struggled with injuries starting the last quarter with one less man on the field and then having a brief stint with 2 less men on the field due to injuries. The Redlegs look sharp and on their day are capable of knocking off wy Yung, but I can't see it hapening this weekend. Wy Yung should win by about 28 points with BOG going to Todd Redenbach

Bairnsdale were very good last week, Moresi is definately the key for them to win this week and if they do win i think he will get the BOG. Wy Yung probably have a better chance of winning with less weak spots in their team, Josh Tollner for the medal if they win. Really dont know who to barrack for, probably Wy Yung by 16 points, just want to see a better game than last week.

It wasn't pretty to watch thats for sure. Good job in the league by the way.
