Sounds sweet dude. I'll try to pick you out. I can't remember if the store has good TVs. The EB at Swanston Street only has crappy little TVs downstairs.

I'm pretty sure they're the same size.
They're definitely not very big.

It would have been nice if they let you upstairs in the Nintendo section.
The worst bit is the Wiis can't even play games at a high resolution so all those big TVs just stretch the images and make them pixelated.

Damnit.

Oh well, I'll just have to stand closer.

I've just deleted all music off my phone (only have 8gig of memory, really need to get a 32gig SD card).

And Nintendo make you pay $50 for an official component cable, letting you game at a wopping 480p.

Who's going to the Werribee play test?

I'll be there with my mate from 10am most likely.

Can't wait!!!!! Not sure if I should pre-order, or just rock up on the 21st and get it that day. I'd spew if my pre-order was delivered a day or two after release and others had the game already!

I'll probly be going as well, some time after 11 or 12

I've already pre-ordered, just on the safe side, so when it comes out, it'll be there for me to pick-up.

I might be going down depends on whats going on that day i want to play it but i also want to wait and play it when it comes out and figure everything out upon release.

Not to sure what i will do yet i might go down and just watch not play so i can see what it looks like in person without spoiling too much for myself.

Yep ive pre-ordered too better too be safe than sorry especially with a potential 1-2 month or more wait on re-shippment.

Ahhhhh so I can pre-order, but then choose to pick it up on release day rather than wait for delivery? Might do that then.

I haven't bought a game from a store in a long time, I usually buy from eBay as it's cheaper lol.

Managed to play 3.5 games at Knox GAME last night. No one knew about it so I was stoked. The one thing I noticed, the stadiums look amazing

[1st] Adelaide v Hawthorn at AAMI

[2nd] Hawthorn v Gold Cost at MCG: Played this at night and in the rain. The game plays so much differently compared from wet to dry.

[3rd] Melbourne v Collingwood at Aurora

[4th] Geelong v St Kilda at Skilled

Was planning on filming some videos but got caught up playing. Ended up playing for an hour straight. We have finally got ourself a good afl game. Ta.

Yeah went with Mattycoff.

The stadiums are sensational, so much detail and feels as if you're there.

The game play more importantly is terrific, free flowing and addictive. FIFA like. I love the camera angles, instant replays and the difficulty to score and get an easy ball from a congested contest. Ruck contests are fantastic and if you win it it makes a huge difference as it should.

You can link through the middle with handballs and hit up forwards on the lead. Defending you have a real chance to spoil and punch the ball clear of your opponent and the pressure is immense with the tackling perfected really well and you can brush tackles and hand ball off during a tackle. You can side step a tackle which is terrific and the kick off the ground for a goal is a lovely finish.

Playing in the rain was great and the game feels much different. Game is harder to score and score accurately and kicks travel less of a distance. Players fatigue and tire easier.

The commentary is good enough, nothing spectacular but never is in sports game even in FIFA.

One thing we asked was about individual player statistics for the match and ongoing stats. None are present in the game and this is very disappointing. Is available in WII version though which is bizarre.

Also, some teams do not have their sponsor logos on the back of their guernseys, for example Hawthorn and St Kilda were missing theres, not sure why. Looks bit strange.

There is no career mode, however this is available in the WII version yet again. Not sure why.

A follow up title depends on the success and sales of this game. So buy it!

Overall, it's the best AFL game we've had. Free flowing, addictive, great gameplay, good camera angles and a better computer opponent. Can't wait to play this on the 21st.

No career mode? What do you mean? There's got to be a career mode otherwise people would just be playing exhibition matches the whole time.

Wow, this hasn't been done to death.

Only season mode.

Once season ends, game ends, start again. You can't play continual seasons, i.e. 2012-13,14, etc. on PS3 version. This is only available with the Wii version.

There is no way to view the game stats after a match? I know there is quarter-by-quarter stats screens... so there is no way to see player statistics after a game has been completed?

Hopefully this isn't the same for season/competition mode as you'd think there would be somewhere where you can view leading goalkickers and other season stats? Disappointing if true.

The Wii version is made by a different developer.

Some teams had not confirmed their 2011 jumper sponsors by the time the game was finished, therefore they don't have jumper sponsors.

Yeah care factor zero for me as well :)

When I get time I'll search for a post I made several years ago. It went along the lines of:

"If there were an AFL game released with awesome gameplay yet had only the ability to play exhibition matches, I'd love it to death"

So Big Ant have pretty much given me what I wanted, plus extensive editing features, a season mode, co-op and online play.

If Carlton don't have the Mars sponsor on the front of the jumper for away game, I'm just flat out not buying this game. It's that simple.

;)

Is there an option for the front and back sponsors to be reversed on Judd's guernsey?
