Fantastic news.
Thank you for everything Eddie, genuinely.
But you've grown old and stale. Time for fresh faces, new ideas.... And take Buckley out the door with you.
The mess of 2020 will take a long time to forgive, at least for me anyway.
I support Ed stepping down, just don’t support him staying for the 2021 season, particularly as a decision needs to be made on Buckley’s future.
Thanks for your service. Transformed the club during his time in charge but 22 years is plenty.
Hopefully we get some renewal across the entire board

I look forward to the flag next season!Gee! I thought Bucks got us to the finals in the last three years including a grand and prelim. We won finals in all three seasons, with a list that everyone reckons was crap, riddled with injuries and a sh*t game plan. Wow! Yeah, definitely need a new coach. I look forward to the replacement and hope he doesn't read this forum too much.
Club will be stuffed in 10 years time and you will all beg for Eddie to come back
Love him or hate, nobody can deny that Eddie hasn't worked his arse off for the club.
Interesting times ahead. It was time for a change though.
Make it 10 at leastAnd his final act as president is to extend Buckley’s contract for another 3 years. ☹
I cant believe it hes actually going willingly anyway 99 percent of us think the time is right to go in a new direction
Thanks for the memories Ed you have done the CFC proud
Willingly?....... mmmm, been a LOT going on behind the scenes. David Galbally fired bullets on behalf of Jack Kennedy. And others.
Eddie isn't happy.
Well, that may be a long shot, but if it did happen, in all honesty, would you still be calling for Bucks' head?I look forward to the flag next season!
Finally, a respectful, intelligent post. Thanks Eddie, can’t question your dedication and love of the Club, let’s never forget you don’t take a cent for your time. Appreciated and will wait to see who takes the reins before I judge if it was the best call for Club. On face value it looks right.
No, obviously.Well, that may be a long shot, but if it did happen, in all honesty, would you still be calling for Bucks' head?
Thanks MickThis just increased your chances for a flag in 2022 and beyond .....
Long overdue and necessary. The club needed some fresh air and renewal at the top.
It will be exciting to see who will succeed him and what ideas they bring to the club. Wonder if anyone challenges the current board with an opposition ticket or whether McGuire will just hand the presidency over to someone of his choice.
McGuire was great for the first decade or so. Turned us around both on and off the field so for that he'll always be fondly remembered and appreciated by the supporter base.
My prediction is by 2022, we'll have a new president and new senior coach.
Peter MurphySally Capp or Craig Kelly?
