Fantastic news.

Thank you for everything Eddie, genuinely.

But you've grown old and stale. Time for fresh faces, new ideas.... And take Buckley out the door with you.

The mess of 2020 will take a long time to forgive, at least for me anyway.

Unless we get a New Board just be the Same with 1 of Eddie's Mates as President

I support Ed stepping down, just don’t support him staying for the 2021 season, particularly as a decision needs to be made on Buckley’s future.

Thanks for your service. Transformed the club during his time in charge but 22 years is plenty.

Hopefully we get some renewal across the entire board

Ed make sure Bucks keeps his Job and get a 10 Year Deal at least

Gee! I thought Bucks got us to the finals in the last three years including a grand and prelim. We won finals in all three seasons, with a list that everyone reckons was crap, riddled with injuries and a sh*t game plan. Wow! Yeah, definitely need a new coach. I look forward to the replacement and hope he doesn't read this forum too much.
I look forward to the flag next season!

Love him or hate, nobody can deny that Eddie hasn't worked his arse off for the club.

Interesting times ahead. It was time for a change though.

No One Is but he did not know when to go. Easily could of Left 10 Years Ago

I cant believe it hes actually going willingly anyway 99 percent of us think the time is right to go in a new direction

Thanks for the memories Ed you have done the CFC proud

Willingly?....... mmmm, been a LOT going on behind the scenes. David Galbally fired bullets on behalf of Jack Kennedy. And others.

Eddie isn't happy.

Well, this is a surprise,I remember Ed saying not so long ago that he would leave when he was no longer wanted at Collingwood,so does this mean that he’s lost the support of the board?Overall I think he’s been a positive influence for the club.He turned it from a rabble into a financial powerhouse within a few short years, and he did oversee one premiership at least in 2010,which is nothing to be sneezed at.But I think it is time for him to step aside.22 years is way too long to be in the same job. That sort of tenure only leads to complacency and stagnation.Time for some fresh blood now.

Long overdue and necessary. The club needed some fresh air and renewal at the top.

It will be exciting to see who will succeed him and what ideas they bring to the club. Wonder if anyone challenges the current board with an opposition ticket or whether McGuire will just hand the presidency over to someone of his choice.

McGuire was great for the first decade or so. Turned us around both on and off the field so for that he'll always be fondly remembered and appreciated by the supporter base.

My prediction is by 2022, we'll have a new president and new senior coach.
