I think we should talk more about Hitler and the Jews.
I know that's what I was hoping for when I logged onto BigFooty.

Have you heard of the word simplistic?

I thought this thread was maybe about Eddie and Tex doing some rails of Cola

Hitler. Interesting character. Loved his dogs you know. Like that time Tony Soprano let that cat stay at the Bing: even when Paulie wanted to kill it.
Sociopaths who adore pets. Makes you wonder..
Crap. You want to discuss COLA:I think Eddie shouldn't be talking about COLA during his commentary. And we shouldn't be talking about COLA in this thread. No-one should talk about COLA ever because it hurts SBD Gonzalez's tender feelings.
I heard Ken Hinkley likes pets.
You have started 3 threads in your time on Bigfooty. All 3 of them were designed to have a crack at someone or something. Michael Hurley:One of the worst threads ever created on BigFooty - just designed to have a crack at Eddie, horrendously average
Chris Dawes:Now dont get me wrong i think Michael Hurley is an extremely good young player,
but speaking to essendon fans its like he's the messiah, he now has been signed to a massive contract for a lengthy period of time (great for the dons).
Just thinking though is it overkill? I mean hes played 40 games and still for mine has alot to prove as their is still a large unknown in regards to his ability, and personally i dont believe as of yet his performances have warranted such an enormous yearly salary?
Collingwood:Your days are numbered Chris, you cannot constantly put up perfoances that don't warrant your selection no matter what "role" your playing, Your the VFL's problem now (I hope)
I really do it hate to say it, as ive hated it in other sides the last 10 years -
but are we the most one way, downhill skiing side in the competiton?
Our defensive pressure is non existent, i am so disappointed in our midfielders, especially Scott Pendlebury.
Just interested in some thoughts?
So apparently during the broadcast of the Carlton/Crows game, when Tex Walker did his knee, Eddie McGuire deemed it appropriate to link it to Sydney's Cost of Living Allowance, going on at considerable length (and again at half time) about how if Walker's out for the season, the impact will be all the greater on the Crows because the COLA allowed Sydney to get Tippett.
Now while I personally believe it's BS that it's the COLA that allowed us to get Tippett, there's a whole dedicated thread running to 76 pages if you want to dispute or discuss that.
What I want to put up for discussion is whether it was self-interested to a very tasteless degree to link the two events.
Walker's just done his knee, possibly out for the season, and McGuire apparently sees that as a golden chance to impose his specific agenda on a barely-related subject onto the listeners.
Are we again seeing a clear conflict of interest rear up when a club president is also a match caller on national media?
Pretty insensitive timing if nothing else, I would have thought.
(But I reiterate, if it's the COLA itself you want to discuss, take that to the dedicated thread.)
Glad someone doesn't become hysterical when I mention Eddie McGuire.Seems like an odd bow for Eddie to draw. Walker out obviously hurts the Crows, losing Tippet to Sydney makes it even harder to cover his loss, but his loss wouldn't have been any better covered if they lost Tippet to GC/GWS or Brisbane, all of whom seemed able to afford his contract. The COLA issue has no relation to Walkers injury and Eddie just saw it as a chance to push an agenda.

So basically it is fine for you to do it, but nobody else can?

You stalk my BF history?......
Creepy but ok whatever floats your obviously very lonely boat - Hurley was asking is he over rated , The Chris dawes one was he was done, portaying a popular thought, and the thread questioning our ability to hold up against pressure when behind??
Completely different to this thread start you flog, give it a spell.
So I take it from that you're OK with a club president pushing his own agenda through his role as a media commentator? OK, thanks for your contribution. One of the worst threads ever created on BigFooty - just designed to have a crack at Eddie, horrendously average
I thought Eddie was being quite supportive of Adelaide with those comments.
And as for him being a club president and pushing an agenda, I think I'm intelligent enough to realise what he is and what he does.
So you didn't actually hear what he said?So apparently...
Richard Colless is not a media commentator, so what's your point?
