Maybe you should read the room mate, walked out in the club previously came back for cash and now leaving for cash. Yeah i get you great clubmen indeed most of all in the time of need. You’re embarrassing

You wouldn't change your job if you were offered a 100% increase to do the same thing elsewhere........?

Does not mean you would not miss your old workplace and mates and perhaps not really want to leave.

It is a job these days sadly for the better players, has been for years.
They are PROFESSIONALS.

Look that word up and read it.

Then call it for what it is no need to carry on about clubmen and distinguished and admired. That’s just crap came back for the money and left for the money. Call it what you will but I call it mercenaries not admired clubmen

Yep and you thanks the morons who put in the point system that players can’t go play with a bunch of mates if all are 3-4 pointers.
Points are a better way to stymie the rich buying success than any other measure… wtf are you on about ?

All this so called clubman bullshitt. Hey if you arnt playing VFL , then you play local footy for money. Your not going to bust your body for no cash on weekends. These boys in prem grade train hard and get good injuries and need to cover there lives aswell. It's good there leaving someone needs to take mighty mick down . The top sides need to come back to the field and we need a stronger prem grade.

Well it isn't going to happen when clubs at the bottom have the same amount of points as clubs who have been in Premier for years. They are limited to the amount of players they can bring in to get them under the cap and competing against premiership teams playing who are on 26-28 points. There is no way in hell anyone but the top five will win a flag in Premier in the next 10 years.

10 years… I’d say ever… need to finish top 5 to play finals and win a flag mate :p

Earn $180k holding a stop sign and $15k playing footy. Yeh these local footballers are real pro’s.

Twas the Night before Christmas. Will mighty mick reign supreme and spoil the party or will Terrific Tudor break the drought and bring it home.

Why Keilor can win?

Silly Question. They have consistency all over the park with a dozen players you could name as their most important. Batman and robin in the midfield in O’Kearney and Ellis, Willaims down back and crafty forwards such as Kosmas and Colenso as well as swingman Petric who took the game away from the griff. Mick was far too good post half time and made structural changes that commanding respect and attention in the premiership quarter last week, giving Tudor the hint to have contingency plans in place for what mick has up his sleeve. Their ability to win the contested ball, have first possession post clearance was the difference last week and to gain territory from those statistics cause headaches for Nick Ash and his boys. Their full ground defense will give the panthers something to think about.

Why Pascoe Vale can win?

Trump Cards. Tudor has a chnace to make history and here is how. Stillman and Stedrick are able to steady the ego heavy list and command the best from their teammates. Iacobaccio is a superb forward who chase excellence by clean ground work and zippy play to make their mark. Ahern roaming the ground with his aura and presence is second to none. Matthew Watson will play well wherever Tudor plays him - he has the trait to win the game off his own boot. The joker in the deck however is Ahmed Saad. He is a freak. On one leg, he can do no wrong and poses a threat to whoever is the poor soul that has to go toe to toe with the great one. Trump cards galore, they will need the bottom five players to stand up to keilor’s to have a fair crack. They did it a fortnight ago, can they do it again.

It will be either a Keilor smashing or a Panther win in a nailbiter.

The Whisp’s prediction:

First Goal: Saad

Best on ground: O’Kearney

Premiers: Keilor by 37 points

Good luck and best wishes to everyone playing, watching and involved with the weekend.

Don't forget I'll be doing laps in the batmobile before the game as a send off for my 4 wins for the season.

In my day and probably your day we played for the love of it. and we stayed afterwards and socialized with our mates. Yes times have changed, but whats the incentive of volunteering to run a club just to hand out money to "professionals" that dont even hang around. Its pure pissing in the wind - all for a $200 trophy

If clubs want to spend 400k let them go for it. Clubs are beating the salary cap with big sign on fees.

I loved East Keilor so much I wasn't even paid to coach. In fact I paid them to let me pretend to coach. I thought my inability to teach skills or strategy might have got in the way but cash talks.
