Genuine question here for the BF learned folk!
Thoughts on the introduction of a 23rd player for a select number of rounds per year?
Some guidelines could be
1. Must not have played more than 5 senior games prior to the season (anywhere)
2. Must be under 21
3. Max 4 rounds “ of 23rd player” (rds 4, 8, 12, 16)
4. Either Excluded from Salary Cap or additional $$ added to sal cap ( $400-500 total)
This would be a great development opportunity and something that May set us apart
Have other leagues tried it?

No, it would just increase the gap between the big junior clubs and others even further. If anything the EDFL should reduce numbers back to 20 maybe 21. The gap in ability from player 15 is huge and by increasing the bench further only guarantees the smaller clubs will rarely challenge for finals.
He will get picked up on a rookie list or minimum play VFL. Too good and too young to play local footy even though he's a keilor boy

The WFNL do it and I think it works well, gives young fellas a taste of seniors, but also gives the club a chance to look at players who are doing well in their junior team

Tudor wasn’t liked at Essendon VFL. Strange they got further than they have previously if the coach is the reason. Money only gets you so far for a short time.

Stillman is captain and not leaving so talking rubbish. If they lose 2 players so be it, every club loses a few every year. They will recruit more than 2 if they lose then.
Talking rubbish? Ask around turbo then come back to me. Could tell you 3 clubs he’s spoken with including 1 he is a 1 pointer at.

Pretty sure Curtis played in a senior GF under Mick when he was 16 against Abers, played pretty good on the wing.
Did he ring the clubs or did the clubs ring him? Because every year clubs football managers , coaches would be ringing players to see if they are available dosen’t mean they are leaving
Not setting a good example , the Captain talking to other clubs! I like Pacco and hoped they'd win this year but they are a long way behind in culture, you wouldn't hear the Abers, Mores or Keilor Captain talking to other clubs. Tudor has had 12months sorting out whats/what , who's/who and will now go to work on weeding out personal that have been a part of holding them back from being successful the last 5-7 years spending Big and providing coaches/players with everything they need. He will bring in players/coaches with integrity who will NOT put up with less than 100% commitment. Some will like it and some won't, but big changes need to happen if they want to compete with the big boys.

Cmon bang clubs chase players and looking to boost their stocks..look at AFL players are always contacted etc..captain or not a player has a right to seek what benefits him and his future not a place saying life time member..when these guys get injured no club helps them financially
