Abers have recruited 2 players in 3 seasons and have nearly pull off a 3 peat. Keilor player on 46 points and Abers played on 30.
Mick is a good coach don’t get me wrong but his not the best. Abers are playing more kids and developing them not just going out and recruiting.

Keilor just won a flag with 6 players 21 or under... they are playing kids. Abers have a few older guys that have stuck around for years hence low points - think some of them will finish up soon which will be interesting

There is only one reason why both Aberfeldie and Greenvale have not recruited recently even though they both play with 30 points. They have maxed out the salary cap. If they had $$ space they would definitely recruit. Hence why both Presidents led the push to keep cap at 220k.

AH had 6 U/19’s play seniors this year with 90% of other players under 25. Only 3 players aged over 26.

Most boring comp in Melbourne. In a full season of footy 94 games , we arguably had one upset result. Glenroy beating Strathmore other than that there wasn't one game you would consider as a surprise result.

Be great to see him come home and finish where it all began, however unless things have changed recently like a job opportunity coaching or something has presented itself in Vic, my understanding was that him & the family are set up & happy in QLD and planned on staying post AFL career
