That'd explain why he was born two years later. You mean where the foetus gestates? Maybe he was just kept in a box?

I'm a WHE fan so not really concerned about what BF think. If Allan can match WHE's career he'll have done well.
He had a missing finger on his left hand, a-la Daniel Chick. Here's a cheers from his Uncle Dave
WHE is better than most think. Top 5 or 6 in pace in the AFL. Runs more then anyone on our list. Around 14Km per game.My expectations are much higher for him then WHE.
If a non skinny non soft version of WHE that would be OK but I really hope he develops into more then a bit part player.
thought so. Didn't realise Andrew Lyons, who lives in Sydney, fit the bill.Sorry. I made an error there. His dad's cousin (they are close like brothers), lives in Melbourne and was Head of Research Goldman Sachs.
So how did it work wth Travis Cloke......as I was told by Neil Balme that as they sat at the kitchen table at the Cloke house, a donkey literally walked down the hallway?!A few weeks ago I commented somewhere that I remembered that Collingwood recruiters would always check out the bedrooms of prospective recruits. A tidy, ordered environment pointing to an ordered individual etc. Last night I heard somebody comment during the broadcast, that the No.1 draft priority was character. That surprised me a little, but when you come across good character these days, it hits you in the face a bit. I think this kid oozes character. We'll have to wait on the rest.

Runs opponents around and has his job assigned in the game plan from McRae.
Hope he inherited Uncle Daves timingHere's a cheers from his Uncle Dave

They play far less game time these days. The interchange was hardly used. It's his short stepping ground contests that I hate most, it has cost us in the past and will again.
Outside that he is too low production to want your first rounder to "be like".
I get internally he is rated, by both Buckley and likely now mcrae likely for what you described work rate up and back with the odd aerial presence.
Also 14km a game shows you how far the drop off has come from early 2000s.
Crawford Buckley Harvey Richetelli all 20km per game mids.
Mids in general were 16km per game.
Chris Tarrant was a 16km per game player as a kpf.
We haven't had many "go home" over the years and Gelong really has little "go home" factor.Nice - Stole a slider there.
Glad they didn't get gun-shy over potential go-home factors after Ollie Henry.
His Dad was a great footballer.Hopefully he's a footballer first and athlete second.
Nah better than that. Daicos x2, De G, good hopes for Reef and Allen, maybe one of Draper, Finn and Harrison and the other couple of excellent mids we get in the next 1-2 drafts. Also Q and Hill as potential to join in. McCreery full time pressure forward I thinkSo what do you think our future midfield looks like?
Nick, Reef, Allen, Draper, Macrae, McReery ?
Would that cover all bases?
Josh Daicos and Pat Lipinski are 23. And Trent Bianco and Josh Carmichael have a better chance of making it than Draper at this stage. So what do you think our future midfield looks like?

There is a thing that the eggheads use called an Exertion Index. It isn't the distance, it's the effort. To even suggest there has been a "drop off" is just silly. Also 14km a game shows you how far the drop off has come from early 2000s.

He has fantastic athletic attributes, the problem is he consistently undermines any good work he does by making mental errors you usually only see in junior footy.WHE is better than most think. Top 5 or 6 in pace in the AFL. Runs more then anyone on our list. Around 14Km per game.
IMO, Josh will be easily pushed out of midfield in the future if the younger mids on the team develop properly. I fully expect him to end up basically making the transition back into the forward line once that happens. Could potentially even become a run and carry small defender. Lipinksi similarly should likely be pushed out of midfield if other prospects develop, except I don't really see a role for him at that point. I think both just have big enough holes in their games as pure mids, where our other younger mid prospects have the potential to develop more well rounded attributes for the midfield.Josh Daicos and Pat Lipinski are 23. I wonder if Josh could replace Nick at HBF. Nick into the midfield. He has fantastic athletic attributes, the problem is he consistently undermines any good work he does by making mental errors you usually only see in junior footy.

Happy for you to think WHE as having been a bit part player over his career. I think he’s been better than that. He’ll push toward 200 games this year, something like 150 of them in B&W. If Allan can exceed WHE’s career he’ll be a ripper.

If you can cite the 20km data, feel free. Here is a study covering 2005-8. The exertion increased over that period. Distance slightly decreasedWell Buckley for starters had 5km of his at 100% effort and 0% registered as standing still in the recorded game.
They used to have to use 2 taggers a lot of the time because one would be gassed by half time. Kellaway brothers will testify to this.
Today's 12km mids would mean that Buckley 5km of sprinting 41% of they're total...
01-03 Tarrant was often lauded for his ability to lead hard and fast on 80 to 100m leads repeatedly. Defenders couldn't stick with him.
To suggest dropping 4 to 6km of any effort a game, is not a drop off is even more silly.

Quantifying movement demands of AFL football using GPS tracking
Global positioning system (GPS) monitoring of movement patterns is widespread in elite football including the Australian Football League (AFL). However documented analysis of this activity is lacking. We quantified the movement patterns of AFL football and differences between nomadic (midfield)...www.jsams.org
