One player who seems to fly under the radar, but doesn't look out of place in the team is Wil Parker. There's nothing flash about him, but I figure he can carve out a spot for himself and play a consistent role.

He seems to have an air of composure about him.
His first goal was a good example - he took the time to settle and drilled the sausage.

The AFL games he played last year were on the back of no preseason too.

The last line excites me, coming from cricket to football takes time to change and get the body right, looks at home as a footballer and this preseason should see a more physically appropriate young footballer at a minimum.

Just has the skillset for the way the game is heading. An aerial game for zoning with line breaking dash. Needs to add strength for his aerial game, but when he does - look out. Really hoping he and Cochrane develop well.

Agree Dave! He had a great moment in the middle where he burst away and kicked it to Elliott, resulting in a goal.

Hopefully gets a good run of games at senior level, can see him getting better. thought he was one of our better players, which is to his credit since he’s a 3rd gamer who played in a game where most of the side were below average.

I thought the heat in the kitchen was a bit too hot for him, but still a good effort for a 3rd gamer to be as involved as he was.

Keep playing him. We need blokes who can seriously run.

I still think he’s a year off being a regular, can get pushed off the footy easily and defensively has some things to work on.

That being said, was very good with his hands in traffic and has some elite attributes with his speed and size.

He didn’t set the house on fire by any means but in a game where the pressure was on and a lot of his peers were overpowered and outrun, he showed more than enough.

I think we ought to persist with Ed as the potential is apparent and we will benefit in the short term from fresh legs and strong runners with pace like himself bedding into our midfield.

If Allan can get a run of games and come along, our midfield stocks aren’t so bad with nick, Allan and McGuane end of the year. Just needs to feel he belongs I think and he will improve in confidence

He had really good involvement in the game, but wasn't great in contests and disposal not good. But it was a really good hitout for a 3rd gamer in a game that was really hot until it frittered away in the last quarter.

Not a perfect game. But for a 3rd game 21 year old it was a good effort. Showed good acceleration and picked up a good amount of possession. But he wasn't a constant presence in the middle. With a bit more midfield time I think he will have a break out year.
