I apologise but for me that's lowering the bar of acceptability to protect one's feelings to avoid disappointment. It's more rewarding (again, for me personally so pardon the pontification of subjective narratives here) supporting on the hopes of more and risking that shitty let down. It's more fun (and sad) to support like that.
