There's one major difference
Dogs are actually scary good. They'd be top 4 maybe even top 2 of they didn't cop all those injuries.
Just unlucky that first week of the finals the team probably least wanting the bye came against the team most wanting it.

To be honest. This is actually a better result for us. The last month has papered over what has been a disgraceful season. Clearly we need a change as we have an extraordinary lack of mental fortitude and endeavour. Tactically Simpson too often gets caught out. We need a strong senior assistant to help. So many things have gone backwards this season. It's very disconcerting. This result is actually about par for this season.
