Word out there is that Dusty was pretty shaken by his kidney injury. Stay in ICU had him questioning his mortality and the risks of playing AFL. Plus not having his dad around as his personal sounding board / inspiration.

Even if Dusty plays, there is a fair chance that he isnt going to trust his body 100% and will take time for his confidence to be back
So Mitch is a certainty then……..

I think we are the only team that’s not home ground favourite for finals lol, everyone has given up on us but may be that’s what we need to kickstart some sort of miracle to salvage 2022.

You are living in dream land... park him in the goal square he'll kick 5 if we aren't lucky... every time we have played them lately one of him, Riewoldt or Lynch have kicked a bag.

In: Cockatoo, Lohmann, Robertson, Ah Chee
Out: Answerth, Rayner, Prior, Lyons
Prior is the sort of player we need in the team, he has a red hot go and he is skilled. I’d drop Rich before I’d drop prior.
Speaking of Rich - the following players did not effect a single tackle against Melbourne: Rich, Starcevich, Daniher, Hipwood and Robinson. If you add Payne and Gardiner to the list, you have SEVEN players and a total of TWO TACKLES for the entire game between them all. Terrible.

Agree with a lot of posters suggesting Gardiner should be dropped due to a lot of reasons
Most likely won't happen but we need to change things a bit
Payne instead of Gardiner gives us a bit more height, weight and pace down back
Would be reasonably happy with a backline of

Talls...: Adams, Andrews, Payne
Smalls: Rich, Starvecich, Coleman, Ah Chee
I’d drop Gardiner for Lester and not select Adams at all. If Adams was going to come in, I’d drop Andrews. He capped of a sub par season with a putrid performance against Melbourne. On what we had served up last week Gardiner and Andrews have not earned their spots.

Not sure if I believe you ;)
I doubt Lester could be worse than Gardiner has been though.
He would be significantly better.

Is there still question marks over both Ah Chee and Adams? I know concussion is not a straight line recovery, but thought both would be back for Melbourne, but still seem to be in question for Tigers even with the week break?

Per Mike Whiting on the Roar Deal, Ah Chee is back running and ticking off the concussion protocols.

Adams hasn’t been sighted.

Just out of curiosity and nothing to do with the game

How is Ah Chee , Do you guys have anybody that watches or reports about training ?

Hope the kid is ok and its disgusting the way he got hit and gave me flash backs of the Stewart/Prestia incident

Our training reports indicating Dusty/Lynch are good to go but Grimes/Graham likely to miss

Ah Chee will most likely play. Adams unlikely IMO.

Cumberland tore Dizzy apart at the MCG and kicked 5. Can’t go with that again. In fact on current form you couldn’t play Dizzy on anyone with any confidence.

Dizzy won't be dropped.
It is what it is.

So Mitch is a certainty then……..

I’d probably play Mitch anyway, he was providing good pressure when he came on in the 4th last week, and then backed it up the next day with a BOG performance in the VFL.

Plus he seems to actively despise the tigers and always lifts for them. Fond memories of him absolutely pouncing on dusty several times last year at the Gabba

Now there is officially no Rayner and Answerth. And assuming Ah Chee available but not Adams.

CHANGES SHOULD BE
Lohmann for Rayner - tell Kai (and charlie) we want crumbing and pressure. no flying for marks.

Ah Chee for Answerth - lock down on Bolton. Starce on Martin. Coleman on Cumberland. I don't mind the idea of Madden for pure speed but he is very shaky with the ball still.

Lester for Gardiner. Darcy just horrid last week. Harris to take Lynch, man on man, no handing over. Payne on Riewoldt. Lester to go third man up in the backline. They kick it to Lynch a lot and he takes a few pack marks, so I think Lester can zone off whomever he is on and float about. Reads the play very well does Ryan.

Robertson for Lyons - straight swap. Becomes main defensive mid. Don't think we need any hard tags but Dev or Matho to shadow Bolton when he is at centre clearances.

Robinson to remain sub - a bit unlucky given his ressies game, but think he is a perfect sub, and tends to get a bit gassed playing a full game this year.

CHANGES WILL BE

Lohmann for Rayner

Ah Chee for Answerth

Robinson for Prior

Fages to back in his favourites Lyon and Gardiner cause why wouldn't he? And Prior to get dropped because he can back one EXTRA old warrior

IF we lose we can play Fagan bingo. Mulligan / won a lot of key stats / Richmond are a very good football side / 10 other sides would like to be where we are / four finals series in a row we must be doing something right / Jarryd Lyons has a high standard i am sure he will get back to that / Dayne has been a superb leader at this club you don't judge him on 1 match / Darcy Gardiner is a warrior, i would always want him in the trenches with me / we thought about tagging Bolton after his 15th goal but thought it might upset our balance as well....

Yes i'm a bit jaded, bring on the off-season :)

We go into this game losing our crown as the best attacking team in the AFL
That now belongs to Richmond 2165 to our 2147. So a 20 point win gets us back in front of them at least

This time last year we snuck into the top 4 on percentage with 15 wins
We had the same number of wins this year but that was only good enough for 6th place

Early betting has Tigers $1.85 favourite over Lions $2.00

The way the Lions are playing any result would not surprise
A huge win or loss or a close game that could go either way

Looks like Ah Chee will be available
Would like to see reports that Adams is back in full training

So, two to be replaced in Rayner and Answerth
Would like to see another player (Gardiner) dropped but doubt that will happen.

I don't see Lohmann, Lester, Tunstall, Wilmot, Fort gettin a go over:
Ah Chee, Adams, Robbo, Deven Robertson, Cockatoo or Payne if he is being a chance of getting dropped

Best changes v Tigers
Out: Rayner, Answerth (Gardiner preferred over Payne)
In..: Robbo, AhChee, (Adams if okay)

I’m still going with:
Dev for Rayner… takes his midfield minutes and can be handy up forward..
Ah Chee for Answerth: gives us a heap of versatility. Answerth, Ah Chee and prior can go between half forward, wing and back. I would love for Ah Chee to play up forward and apply a heap of forward pressure
Payne for Adams: if fit of course.
