Still alive in this. This week’s matchup is pretty even. My mids pretty much all fired last round so I’m due some bad scores from uniques like Zorko, Parker and Tom Phillips. Opponent has Cripps, Oliver, Gray, Gola, Langdon and Neale as uniques and those guys have decent ceilings. Would not be surprised if all those guys fired together and sent me packing

I hope you’re right. Langdon does really well at home though I think, and Neale could be really big. If Phillips decides to play the first half then that would really help my cause. Parker could be anything from 70-110 and that scares me.

I definitely need to make some trades this round to get through:
Before trades it is:
Me - Devon, Parker, COR, TPhillips, Stef, Zorko.
Opponent (ranked 4th FFS) - Buddy, Hurley, Grundy, Cripps, Gibbs, Mrouch.

Cripps will be huge against GC so I am very worried about that. Can't count on Parker, Phillips and even Zorko tonning up. HELP ME
 
Opponent had no cover and Sicily still in their team which was lucky.

This coming week's matchup with uniques for my team displayed on the left.

Got through and are now into the last 32.
Making trades this week to increase my chances. Menegola in for Sicily and Macrae in for Rocky.
Side is now as complete as it’s going to be and still have 4 trades left.

Good luck this week mate, think we're matched up against each other. Going by that it will be

Stef, Duncan, Kelly, Gibbs and Walters/Buddy vs
Grundy, Zorko, Beams, Macrae and Hogan.

Will be an interesting matchup, both of us have players that can go huge on their day. I'd love to bring in Macrae, but I'm limited on trades, at this stage don't know if I will or won't. I like your chances better, for me to have a realistic chance I'd need Kelly to have a field day.

Don't think there's going to be much in it at all thid week Luey. Let's hope whoever wins this week goes all the way.

Hopefully that's the case, I've got 30 mins of procrastinating to get Macrae or not.

Best of luck either way mate, hopefully a tight finish either way

Yep been a horrible pick up really, has cost me a decent crack at the top 100 again.

Always a 50/50 call with him and Walters for F6, get it wrong most weeks.
 
Should have had this match up sewn up but having Stef while opponent had Grundy has given him a sniff again.
Me: Hurn, Rocky, 169 pts
Opponent: Cripps, Mrouch, Gibbs

I am really worried about Hurn if conditions are as bad as it looks like it will be. Really hope Cripps gets a hard tag. Melbourne are quite restrictive so hope that stops Mrouch and Gibbs from going really big. Feels like I'm just paranoid right now but feel like this will go down to the wire.

Just unbelievable. 6 uniques match ups and my Devon outscored his Hurley and Buddy combined. He had 4 uniques to make up around 120 pts and he had 2 x 160s today! Grundy gave him a sniff and Cripps just buried me and got him home. Got hit with the perfect storm tonight, now I need 230 pts from Hurn and Rocky to win this. Stick a fork in me :(

Having both Cripps and Grundy myself, I was rather pleased with their performances. :)

Nice. Just found out today that Cripps actually went down into the rooms with the doc minutes before the game! He could have missed that game but noooo, he just had to come out and score 160. I’m still numb after that, FMD if he just scored his normal 100-110 I’d probably be through this round. Wish Cripps just went full 200 so that I didn’t have any hope today, but anything is possible with Rocky. Rocky, if you’re reading this, need you to put your snout in the trough one last time and give me a big 160.

Well done Coots, you got through quiet comfortably in the end. I was never really in it after Buddy's shocker, then Stef sub par vs Grundys was the nail in the coffin, but hey that's the game isn't it.

Best of luck for the final few rounds anyways mate, I will keep an eye/ear out to hopefully see you through for the win. Well played.
