The 1 old, 1 new talent thing isn't a bad idea.

But it takes a pro like Bryan Adams to hold centre stage and there were clearly audio issues here. You couldn't hear her and the background track plays before she's ready.

They should use the side stage over in the crowd, surround her with people dancing and it might just work. If it did work for the post game show then it might work for the pregame stuff.

I don't think she's miming, I think she's just being drowned out by the overproduced vocals on the backing track; but in any case it's a pathetic performance. I mean there's two backing singers, a drummer, and 2 keyboard players absolutely **** all, a crowd that doesn't give a shit and the song is ****ing garbage as well.
