What was his criterea? Because at his best I still think Batt is the best player in the comp. He was devastating against Longwarry on the weekend. Best game he has played since early last year.

I watched Chirs Urie on the weekend. No way in hell is he number one in the competition. Handy player but like Holland from Longwarry gets far too much of the pill in the back half. And no way in hell was he 2nd best for them on the weekend. Got towelled up by Marchant in my opinion.

Interesting assessment after viewing just one game. I watched him against Ellinbank and although The Bankers were very mediocre he kicked 7 goals from the centre and hardly missed a target all day. Was named as best or at the very least in the best all year and was best performed player for the VCFL.
Surely you can't argue with this.

Even he was disgusted to get the award for 2nd best in the clubrooms after the game, he was well beaten on Saturday and knew it. Have no doubt he can play and is probably a good chance to win the league medal, but was pretty poor against Marchant. Although I suppose there weren't many good players for NNS on Sat.

Only one bad game, he is a gun, played a lot of VFL recently and BOG for the VCFL side against the ammos. Hard to pick a number one and split the top 10 but i reckon Urie is a good call.

Urie was beaten against Cora Lynn also by Chad Ingram and Tim Payne. They put him 2nd or 3rd best for NNS.

The top 50 seems very thrown together with not much thought.

Interesting and definately something to talk about.. here are a few thoughts.

Wade-Good player but not top 10
Sheen should have been ahead of Luke James & Mal Michael
Kennedy, R.Brown, Ben Miller much to high shouldve been in 40's maybe
Muirhead & Chris Jones ---- No
Jack Allen shouldve been in the 20's at least

I havnt seen enough Nilma Games but would Mal be in top 3 B & F papa & goodie... give me your estimated top 5??

Who the hell is Mike Santo. Didn't even know a Mike Santo played in this league let alone be in the top 50 players in the comp!

You're obviously taking the piss - you've heard of everybody else but Santo?

He is listed as Mick in this thread and in the paper, how did you know he is usually called Mike?

our best and fairest top 5??? will finish something like this but mal could be higher we have some interesting people do vote cards.

The following will be in our top 5 kane martin, jamie cann, kael bergals, shane morgan, Alan Chandler, Mal Micheal.

canny and muzz will fight it out for 1 and 2 and the rest is a raffle

Can someone please explain to me how Jason Kelly can miss out on the top 50. And it wasn't becasue he was forgotten because I read his name in those unlucky to miss. He is clearly the best backman in the competition. Ask Darren Sheen or any of them guys and they will tell you he is the best backman in the competition. He has had to spend most of the season playing in the midfield for us because of injuries etc and he will win our best and fairest comfortably.

Ah so a big fish in a small pond! Jamie Cann is one of these too I'm told.

Jamie Cann will probably win the Best and Fairest at a club that up to Round 17 hasnt looked like losing a game of footy. That would probably not make him the big fish in a small pond.

But you already know that. You know everything else.

And Mike Santo can play footy. He is also playing in a pretty handy side and has kicked 71 goals.

Again, though, you already know this.

Absolutely top 10, was tagged by Tim Payne against Cora Lynn and didn't even notice, don't think the tag lasted beyond the 1st quarter. Will win his 2nd senior club B&F this year at the age of 20, backing up from a win last year and 2 runners up previously. Consistantly racks up around 40 possesions and is already club captain.

Wade must be super fit. He tagged my brother in the second half and my brother said he found it real hard to get away from him. This coming from a bloke who gets 17 for the beep test and broke Andy Murray's running records while at tennis academy in the UK, so it is pretty high praise for the guys fitness.

Slattery tagged him in the first half and he thought it must have been a joke. The guy couldn't get within 100m of him and then when he finally caught up at a stoppage he would give him a hip and shoulder, then lag 100m behind again.
