Dusties would be about 1.40 favourite I reckon, but i think we will improve as the year goes on.

Think you blokes beat us at nyora the year you made finals and beat us up at poowong on the worst ground in history.

Match of the round has to be Buln Buln v Lang Lang. Should be a blockbuster. Massive crowd expected.

Seriously not happy having to drive all the way up there on the Saturday of the long weekend. Will be 7.30 before I even get to the city for my first beer.

Match of the round this weekend seems to be Nyora vs Dusties. From the tips ive seen people thinks it a 50/50 game. I reckon its going to be a cracker. They are hard to beat over there and i dont think we've beaten them over there for 8 years or something like that. My pick Dusties by 15 points.

Mate if Dusties are really a legitimate flag hope then they should comfortably beat Nyora. Its the first side Dusties have played that will be somewhere near the top 6. Will know how genuine they are by 5pm Saturday.

Cant imagine buln to melbourne being much further than LL to melbourne.

Massive game, I am sure all the buln fans will be out in force. Never seen more bandwagon jumpers than those supporters.

Its a pretty even field this year, i think most teams can beat other teams on there day, But i hope we can get the 4 points on the weekend, theres 2 or 3 senior players comming back from injury comming threw the 2's this week aswell so the 2's game should be pretty close.

Its not an even field at all, your kidding, only 1 upset so far this year in garfield beating NNG. Dusties, NNG, Cora Lynn and now Garfield look a clear top 4. The next group might be fairly close then Longwarry, Buln and Ellinbank will be bottom 3.

We will smash you in the twos, pumped longwarry by about 80 points and they beat you the week before.

You can think that if you want, will be closer then you think.

what did we learn from this weekend?

lang lang are shit
i cant kick further than 15 meters.
nyora are dirty. kicking a player on the ground is such a horrible thing to see on the football field.
Mike santo is really awesome (use to just think he was awesom)

and dusties people still cant seem to find there way into opposition rooms for a beer after the game . shit house effort once again

I actually went in and brought a six pack for the trip home. Nyora's ground was awesome for all the rain that we had. The kicking incident was bad and hopefully something comes of it. Was a shame to see the game turn into what it did in the last quarter umpires shouldve had more control. First time ive seen a head count be called which was interesting.

why would we want to after the way some of your senior players behaved and your supporters encouraged it?
i always go in for a beer at every away game but felt sick in the guts after the kicking, or from where i was standing head stomping incident

*edit* - didnt read correctly.

I wasn't there to see any of this, however, it sounds like there is a perfectly legitimate reason for the Dusties players to head off straight after the game. Got any comment about the head kicking, or do you just shoot your mouth off about the opposition and have nothing bad to say about your own club?

Wasnt there so dont know what happened but what happens on the field stays on the field and ya still go in for a beer. We got beaten by 200 points at times last year and still went in.

Whos shooting there mouth off??

if you weren't there its you that's shooting your mouth off not me.
I'm pretty sure that enough's been said about nyora over the years,
all clubs have had there fair share of incidents so we are not alone.
dusties37 is spot on in saying the the umpires lost control,
there was a report so its now in the hands of the tribunal.
and as far as the incident gos i think its a bit of a stretch to call what happened head kicking.
and for going onto the rooms for a beer after leo is right we all ways go in win loose or draw.we had to listen to the nilma bloke last year bang on about how great it was to smash us we have had Cora Lynn sing there theme song while we were in there social rooms but we still go in we regually out number ellenbank players and supporters in there own rooms every year.

sorry, my mistake. head stomping, i thought it was abit of a big call to say head stomping as it looks bad against they player in question. but number 14, clearly guilty of head stomping and kicking (to the head) dirtiest play i have seen in the edfl. Worse than the poowong Vs Nilma darnum 2s game a few years ago.

deserves 10 weeks the DOG.

HEAD STOMPING IS FROWNED APON IN STREET FIGHTS LET ALONE SENIOR FOOTBALL.

What happens on the field stays on the field is the biggest load of garbage ever. It is a line that people use when their actions on the field are less than admirable. If someone actually got kicked in the head, and then him and his team mates did not want to go and drink with the team that performed such an action then surely you can understand their point of view.

If you believe what happens on the field stays on the field, then why do people come on here and comment about people being snipers, or calling people weak and so on. It shouldn't be talked about because if it happens on the field, it should stay there apparently!

its not a load of garbage at all, the first thing was said after the game was no doubt as usual the dusties won't come in for a drink, loser club with a loser attitude who will no doubt finish 4th again and in 2 or 3 years be sitting on the bottom again because their shit attitude is infectious. pathetic bunch of losers, say what u will but everyone knows i'm right.

What happens on the field, stays on the field...Obviously within the spirit of the game!!

But if something outside the "normal" happens like racial abuse or a dogs act etc then i think its fair enough for someone not to wana share a beer after the game....

Well said, my point exactly. Hard bumps, or the odd word is fair enough, but, some things just should not happen at all and if they do, aren't covered by the old attitude of "what happens on the ground, stays on the ground.
