Training? Practice is for people that need it. I'm coming down for a look this week or next, what should i look for? How's your hair doing these days? Still wearing your sisters clothes?
 
Haha nah the big fella has us wearing club uniform to the matches now so I actually look half normal.

If you are coming down be wary of the tigers back pocket rocket wearing the number 3. He has been known to shut down the best medium sized forwards in the comp so you may have trouble even touching the pill in your half time kick to kick.

I have never seen a bloke try and play so many positions and in 5 whole years, still not find his niche.

Anyone see the Cora Lynn v Dusties match on the weekend? Wasn't expecting a 15 goal drubbing. What happened? Dusties not as good as we thought or just had a bad day?
 
Yeah the first quarter looked like Dusties might put up a good fight, but to be honest, they kicked a few lucky goals in the end to reduce the margin... Looked like it was going to be at least a 100 point domination. Cora Lynn looked great, but still didn't play at 100%, so makes you think they are going to be very dangerous when they do.
 
Yeah Cora Lynn and Garfield definitely look like the 2 teams to beat at this early stage. Wouldn't write off Nar Nar Goon either. Slow start to the season but should be getting a few players coming back in the next few weeks.
 
Had a chat to someone last night and he was saying that he was retiring. He couldnt believe it when I told him he had applied for a clearance. To be fair he isnt on the committee but the word he got was that the hard grounds had done his body in and was finishing up.

So looks like he may be gone. No clearance from Fuller yet, though.

Kooweerup would have to be the worst run club in the league. Other than Warragul, the town's population is by far the biggest in the league. It is 10 minutes from Pakenham, yet somehow they still manage to have one of the worst teams in the league. I can't even remember the last time they played finals.
 
Massive game for the Goon tomorrow up against the Dusties. Lose this and top 2 opportunities are definitely gone and even missing the finals becomes a reality. How does everyone see this game going? Who would go in as favourites? Defining match ups?
 
Top 2 chances may already been gone i reckon. Couldn't really see Cora Lynn or Garfield dropping more than 2 or 3 games each for the season. Goon have already lost 3 so unless they go through the rest of the season undefeated top 2 is very unlikely.

Wouldn't think Goon could miss the finals though tumbles. Too many good players right across the park and good depth to cover any injuries. You should get a few players back this week I think (Youle, Noonan maybe 1 or 2 others not sure?) which should help.

Match with Dusties will be a good one. Both teams will have a point to prove after last week. Nar Nar Goon by 15 points.
 
Do goon get to play CL and Garfield again? If so then top 2 could still be a chance. WIll make finals for sure.

Wasnt Mal Michael in the herald sun last weekend saying how much he enjoyed Darnum and teaching the younger players and all that crap??

He retired from Brisbane lions only to sign with Essendon a few months later also.Saying im retiring is Mels way of saying your club is crap and im out of here.

I think a lot of kids in KWR play juniors at catani and never come back. Still they have no excuse to be so bad so often, should be a lot easier to attract sponsors and supporters in a town that size.

Yeah that's what I was getting at.

Heard a bit more. Apparently he wanted to play the kids which is fair enough considering where they are at. But some of the senior players were not happy with this and had him removed. Shit effort from the club and the senior players involved IMO. They may struggle to attract to many candidates to coach next year if they are going to treat their coaches like this.

That does make him look silly mate. IT shows that his heart wasnt really in it in the first place. He played in the area where i live last year and he was made look silly often. Some games he was lucky to get 5 kicks and the money he was on, just isnt good enough. It wont be long till fuller leaves and sinclair will be further up shit creek without a paddle. Good to see!!!!!
