World Vision kind of proves your point though.

The market has become so saturated, that North are looking for a point of difference. And even then, all they have managed to attract is a freeloader.

Or, they suck at running pokies venues, and this sounds better.

You have an obsession within an obsession with this World Vision thing, you just keep mentioning it.

Do you really think that you know more than those running the NMFC, and that their decision to align themselves with a world recognised organisation that does invaluable work is a flawed one, simply because it doesn't involve a cash contribution? Really?

Again, you prove to be full of shit. Anyone with half a brain can see the benefit of the alignment.

Is it a bit churlish of me to add that in financial terms {NMFC + World Vision) is $600,000 > {WBFC + Jason Hucker}?

Yeah, I suppose it is.

Again, you prove to be full of shit.
Gotta love irony.

No, Boskie, not angry at all. He's not the competition's best president but he has done a great job for our club. You possibly think the same of the very objectionable Jeffrey Kennett.

It's more that you're so very easy to own, and your attempts at hitting back are as consistently feeble as your last two posts here. Really, have a look at them, just pathetic.

You may or may not be a ****, Boskie, I couldn't care less either way. What your posting does prove loud and clear, though, is that you are a narrow-minded halfwit.

You mean the hopeless president and the temporary CEO? In that case, it's quite plausible he does.

Again, you prove to be full of shit. Anyone with half a brain can see the benefit of the alignment.

If it's so simple, explain the benefits, in real, financial terms. Having a sponsor that provides good PR is useless unless you're a club like Collingwood who also happens to make a truckload off actually having supporters.

Not, it's completely implausible. Do you have even the slightest clue about how a board of directors and finance & management team works?

I now realise the bar for being a mod here is not high in terms of brain power :thumbsu:

If it's so "implausible", explain why.

Also, I love how you answered how a World Vision sponsorship does anything to help your struggling club's bottom line.

Oh Jesus, you're a Richmond supporter even to the extent of quoting Caro: "struggling North". No wonder she still gets a gig, the braindead minions still lap it up.

Hypothetical question here: if there was a competition in which groups of people on an annual basis had to eat as many apples as possible, and the group that eats the most apples is the one that triumphs in the competition for that year, would you rate a group that has won the prize a couple of times in the last 20 years and come close other times higher than the group that hasn't been able to find the apple trees for over 30 years? Which of these two groups is struggling most? Given it's an apple eating competition not a money in the bank competition ...

Implausible because gogriff has nowhere near the business nous and experience of Carl Dilena, Trevor O'Hoy, Cameron Vale, Mark Brayshaw, Peter and Brady Scanlon, etc. Are you really so stupid that I had to make this point?

Do you also need me to go through why a club that is seeking to extend its appeal to a wider cross section of the community would benefit from an alignment with one of the 3 or 4 most respected community-assisting bodies in the world?

What's the point of you eating more apples now, if you don't survive to eat more in the future?

Familiar with Mark Brayshaw's work, he's probably worse than his brother. That's why JB had to rig your last election to keep him on the board.

Do you also need me to go through why a club that is seeking to extend its appeal to a wider cross section of the community would benefit from an alignment with one of the 3 or 4 most respected community-assisting bodies in the world?

Yes, I would like to see you explain how a sponsorship that doesn't add to your finances helps unsure your club's survival.

The ones that have won the prize are more likely to survive.

Mods are allowed to make libellous statements? Cool.

Now you're being deliberately obtuse, and "unsure" is a nice Freudian slip.

You're asking him an impossible question.

I know why they really did it, let's see if LtK does.

griffo, I was going to say it's not like you to be dumb, but it would have been a lie.

You and your new-found friend would do well to consider that there can be benefits brought by non-financial sponsors. It's not unique in world sport, and the benefit is in helping achieve goals that contribute to meeting objectives that are linked to future success of the club.

You and your mate back-slapping each other on this only makes you both look stupid.

At the time of their merger, less than half the competition had won more premierships than Fitzroy.

Still yet to answer the question...

Norf are not Barcelona, and they never will be.

So the World Vision freeload is about future sponsorship?

Nope, try again.

Fool, I didn't say future sponsorship. I said future success, in this case linked to expanding NMFC's supporter base.

Anyway, I'm sure it's obvious to most that non-financial benefits can also be of value. You two are just hanging on to an opposing view as you've dug yourselves in too deeply.

So the World Vision sponsorship is about increasing your membership?

Now you're way off track. I'll give you a clue: Peter Scanlon.

Wow, griffo thinks he knows a secret. No wonder you keep bringing up the World Vision non-financial sponsorship, how exciting for you.

You still don't see how the alignment can bring benefits to North? Put another way, if a major international charity organisation approached Footscray with a similar arrangement, you would be upset if the club did it? Is that your position?

If it was going to bring benefits, it would have brought them by now.

I'll keep the $3.7m annual pokies revenue thanks.

I take it my clue didn't help? I'll give you another: The Huddle.
