It's clearly offside in terms of Maguire being in front of the player. There is no question on that. The real question is does he affect the play. That’s not offside, this is where VAR shouldnt be getting involved. Hairline decisions on offsides are like LBW ball tracker decisions nicking the outside of off stump. They are educated guesses, not facts.
He did miss it by a metre but for Maguire that is a good effort to get so close to the ballLOL. To be fair, he's trying to play the ball and he's offside. The Fulham player is playing him.
IT WAS OFFSIDE! **** me you whinge about anything without having a degree of accuracy. So not only did the ref not give a yellow on the foul, he checks that and gives it offside?
VAR gone to new levels of a ******* joke.
IT WAS OFFSIDE! * me you whinge about anything.
That has been offside since before Covid. 5-6 years at a guess the rule was changed to make it so that being in an offside position does not automatically constitute an offside offence. But becomes offside if the player makes a play at the ball, successful or not, or by playing at the ball makes an opponent play at the ball. How the * was it offside mate????
Maguire was past the last defender, attempted to play the ball. That's been offside since the dawn of time. How the * was it offside mate????
