New manager bounce is always a worry for the opposition teams.
He'll have been there 2 and a bit weeks by the time we face you. If our bounce lasts that long, I'll be thrilled.

I hope we have a no play clause for FB when we play you.

It would be peak us to drop points due to a player we loaned out to the opposition.

It's not up to the clubs, it's a league rule.

All loans between Premier League teams have a mandatory clause where the loaned player cannot play against the parent club.

Southampton don't have the players to play out from the back every single time. They keep making mistakes that cost them goals. Their forwards are second rate too.

So why has VAR spent minutes determining Archer is onside if in the end they decided Armstrong interfered with play? Which I’m not sure he did. 5 mins to make that decision
Because if archer is offside then they don't need to consider Armstrong.

It would have been interesting to see how semi-automated VAR handled the situation. Presumably it would ignore Armstrong because he didn't touch the ball, and rule Archer onside. Then it would take human intervention to adjudge that Armstrong had tried to play the ball.

What is with the lack of early Saturday games. That is a few weeks now there hasn't been one. We need Klopp back just for that

I don't understand it either. It used to be that local derbies were held at lunchtime to stop fans being tanked up - like next weekend Everton v Liverpool is at 12.30. But today we have Hammers v Arsenal at 17.30.

There's a rule that prevents Saturday 3pm games being shown live in the UK. Is there also a rule about how many Saturday games outside 3pm they can show?

Yes. The TV networks can't just pick extra games. If theres a Friday they drop the early Saturday.

What a start to Wolves/Bournemouth. 3 goals (1 from a pen) in the opening 8 minutes. Bournemouth lead 2-1.

Edit: Another pen for Bournemouth and now it is 4 goals in 17 minutes.

Dont know it's that's a pen for Arsenal.

The ball arrives at basically the same time as Gabriel is heading it and Fabianski going for the punch. Just seems like a normal collision where the goalkeeper is allowed to punch and the player is allowed to head it. It's not a foul, just a natural coming together for me.

I don't think Fabianski gets anything of the ball so when he punches Gabriel in the head it's a pen.

There's a lot of shenanigans going at corners, not all of it legal. For the first goal Timber with no eyes on the ball pushes Paqueta out at the near post giving Gabriel a free header. Another corner Trossard was rugby tackled to the ground by a Hammers player who wasn't looking at the ball.
