I will say this is one part of XG that doesn't make sense. Even without the penalties they still count the TAA chance. So with the penalty you can have over a 1 XG sequence.

So from the pen and the follow up it's a 1.3xg, even though it's actually impossible to score more than 1 goal from it

One of the replays did show Jota was caught on the ankle but he made the most of it for sure. I guess it’s easier to fall over for a penalty than to remain on his feet and have two defenders between him and the goal.

It's 2 missed chances, and xG is mainly used to show how good your chances were, and how well or poorly you convert them.
In this case, not scoring from 2 chances is worse than not scoring from 1.
Even if the rebound was converted, you've scored 1 goal from an xG of 1.3 which is below par.

Yeah I get that but it gives the impression you should have scored more than 1 goal when in reality you only get the second chance from missing the first
