This deal would have been agreed before day 1. I said a few days ago, this is purely for media dramas and to keep people engaged. Making it look like a future 4th has been added to give it any credence that it wasn't already sorted.
Yep. It would have taken 1 minute to agree on that part of deal. It was all theatre

Where are we going to get that future 4th from though? We have just traded it

Don't we still have the #76 pick?

We still have Essendon to trade with provided Duursma is still keen to get to Windy Hill. We could let Zerk-Thatcher slide to the Draft and trade Duursma for Draft picks. Essendon's #31 and #73 picks for Duursma allows us to on trade #25 and #76 for Ratugolea and enter the Draft at #31. If Essendon want Duursma badly enough they will do the deal if not X stays at Alberton.

Not sure that Jordan Sweet is worth a third round pick but it sounds like we may entertain picking him up with pick #50. If we do that we will probably have to trade Duursma to someone otherwise we won't have pick until#73.

It is amazing as I thought the under contract Soldo would be the hardest of the four trades to get across the line yet his deal is done first.

You’re looking at the wrong players. No one is saying that our acquisitions aren’t JAGs.

It’s not Ratugolea and Zerk-Thatcher that will improve us, it’s that Aliir, Burton and Bergman will be able to play their natural roles with their inclusion. And those three are definitely not JAGs.

You put Burton back to half-back and Bergman back to wing and suddenly you’re having to find a place for Farrell or Houston on a wing instead of doing something stupid like putting Wines there.

We’ve got enough star players in Butters, Rozee, Wines, Horne-Francis, Houston, Aliir and Bergman to win a flag. Being able to play then in the right positions instead of scrambling to cover for an off-the-cliff Jonas would help.
Actually almost makes sense for a change. Well done Janus. I'm still worried about our lack of genuine outside pace on the wings. Houston, Bergman etc. None are express. Wines was just ridiculous.

Can’t believe we traded next years first to get this deal done.

We traded our future first to Freo for picks and used them to get Soldo. As I understand it the Ratugolea deal has not been done yet and all we have heard is media speculation.

If Geelong's demands are as reported I think the Ratugolea deal will get done and then Dodoro can go jump. Keep Duursma and let Zerk-Thatcher walk to the PSD.

My concern, which I share with many of you, is that we are going to have a pretty lean Draft this year and next. It is as if Ken and Co are determined to go for broke in what I hope are Ken's last two years. Maybe he has been told it's a Premiership or you are history Ken?

Well done Mackie you flog, really worth the extra week. pAy uP pOoRt!

What's the bet they pass on both those picks? An exercise in ego for Mackie and nothing more.

Hahahhahahahahha they really held out for pick 76 and 94! **** me Mackie is a joke and so is the dragging out of this shit. Doubt Geelong even use these picks.

I am so happy we have Esava. I see huge potential in him.
