Reading between the lines with Chris Davies on Trade Radio, sounds like Geelong are not remotely interested in trading him and will hold him to his contract. So might be a next year proposition unfortunately.

Not really holding firm. 33 for a VFL player is overs but it's the only pick we have. Either we are asking for a pick back (which we should be doing) or the offer has been rejected and the deal won't get done as we can't offer any more.

Considering we’ve gotten 4th rounders for all of young, ahchee, hombsch and Austin pick 33 is well overs for Geelong.

Having said that, he’s contracted and if Geelong want to hold him it’s their decision

If they do and he asks to come here next year, we should have pick 104 on the table for him. It’s the risk they take.

No, but it is all relative as #120 will put as near the end of the field. Normally after clubs pass on their late picks around 65-75 players are picked up in the National Draft. We will probably pass on our late picks and may use that #120 in the PSD.

Sounds like this deal getting done is based off Collingwood willing to take 33.
