Cant see whats in it for Crameri and Monfries to take this all the way to the courts. Waiting with baited breath for one or both of them to fall on their swords and take a lesser penalty. If that happens, watch the house of cards collapse!!

This is what I don't get - Has it been reported anywhere that Essendon are acting for Crameri, Monfries and Gumbleton? Not to mention the players no longer in the AFL?

If they aren't, why not? They were injected during their time at Essendon so it would make sense for a united player/club action to include ALL players but at the same time wouldn't that be a massive conflict of interest?
They would be dragging these 3 guys along for the ride when they may be able to get a better deal if they were to act on their own, as intended by the SC notices going to players individually rather than the club.

Im not sure anyone can cop a 'plea' here and bargain info to ASADA for a reduced penalty, but there must be some serious legal issues regarding how these three players inperticular are being represented during all this.

There has been quite a lack of information sharing. Were ASADA trying to bury the truth when they fought so hard to limit discovery last week?

Limit discovery. ....oh you mean follow process and wait till the actual period after an ADRVP ruling and only involving those with the SC notices.

I would suggest the Bombers had very good records and knew of all substances even if not knowing the why or how of each. Then when a certain listing was actually S2.....well then stuff.

Given we know that Essendon took TB4, thanks to a quoted Danks interview, we know what was meant by "thymosin" where.

Problem Essenon players have in regards to being misled is they didn't enquire with ASADA the status of thymosin so they risk the type that what was given to them. If they had've enquired then they would've found one was illegal and then could've asked questions of the club, and looked at the bottle label, and refused if they found it was TB4. Then if they were misled, say, by a change of label then they could say legitimately that there were misled. Until that point it was in their own hands. Sadly by not taking the first step, talking to ASADA, it's 2 years right there unless they fall on their sword and plead guilty.

The bit where players did enquire is strangely omitted from ASADA's report. There is NOTHING to suggest that the players knew, or could have known it was TB4. So no, not 2 years. Even the head of ASADA agrees it's not 2 years - remember him pleading for players to take his offer? The only place where it is two years, is in your head.
