Game starts at 1pm and definitely a high standard game even though both teams are missing key players due to other football committments.
Right. I wondered if that might be the case. I'll definitely be popping by to have a look.

Everyone here is looking past the Northern Saints. Watched them and i think a couple of kids deserve to make the rep squads.
Silvio Campanaro, Nathan and Jack Milne and Michael Hoare. All are just standouts and someone definetly needs to give the edfl an email or send a scout down to watch them. They are versing the Valley next week at the Valley. GET SOMEONE DOWN!
It's gotta be the fact that they play in division 3. Unfair to kid in lower divisions in my opinion.Game starts at 1pm and definitely a high standard game even though both teams are missing key players due to other football committments.
No clue why Silvio and Nath aren't getting noticed. I wish I was that young, but my son does play
Spot on mate, it's all about the reputation of clubs and someone's gotta put a stop to it.It's gotta be the fact that they play in division 3. Unfair to kid in lower divisions in my opinion.
I certainly agree that they are great players and the club has encouraged them to attend Rep training. A couple of the boys have been to Rep training in the last couple of years but have been overlooked. Northern Saints certainly encourage the boys to attend training but ultimately it's their decision. Great observation - you certainly can notice talented kids.Game starts at 1pm and definitely a high standard game even though both teams are missing key players due to other football committments.

True, but having said that the rep coaches do get out and watch games in all divisions each week and will invite additional players that they feel deserve a shot. You also have to consider kids that have moved clubs and would have been invited at their old club. This adds additional numbers to the clubs they move to.Funny you'd say that because at under 15 rep training there are 12 kids from douttas trying out, and at under 16 level, there are 5 so the league is quite lenient with the stronger sides sending more than 3 players.
I was for the grading system, but have changed my mind.6 teams in Division 1 is a bit of a joke. I understand the grading system and what its meant to achieve but let's face it, Under 16 Div 1 is the flagship competition in the EDFL junior grades and to have only 6 teams in it is pretty poor.
i was at the game today as well and i certainly agree with you.Saw the division 3 game Northern Saints vs Mooney Valley, and the kids i mentioned earlier Silvio and Nathan were the best 2 on the ground by a mile. These kids deserve a go in the rep squad. 13,10 and 3 also had good games. Northern Saints look like a very good well structured side, although it's gonna be hard against the likes of Pasco and Westy's and even Kielor.
Oh i nearly forgot about him. Yes i agree he had a great game too. 15 is a very very smart footballer, and in my opinion was probably close to being best on ground the two prior weeks.i was at the game today as well and i certainly agree with you.
both boys were dominant but number 15 also did really well.
really looking forward to next weeks game against keilor
Is Silvio the kid from Greenvale?? Not to be rude, but it's division 3. If it is the kid i'm talking about than he did play Div 1 and he was actually really good. Unfortunately a few adults decide that they want their son to be the very best and take them to weaker clubs to make their son look better!!!Saw the division 3 game Northern Saints vs Mooney Valley, and the kids i mentioned earlier Silvio and Nathan were the best 2 on the ground by a mile. Yes he is from Greenvale. Some boys like playing with their mates. Others leave weaker clubs to chase that elusive dream with the stronger clubs. Some are also told you cant make rep sides from Div 3. ...thats why you end up with only six clubs in Division one.Is Silvio the kid from Greenvale?? Not to be rude, but it's division 3. yes I agree paco by2 goals, mv by 4 goals over douttas and NS vs Keilor to close to callIn Division 3, Pascoe Vale v Westmeadows should be a great battle this Sunday. Pascoe Vale by 2 goals.
It must have been a great game, losing by 1 point will always hurt. In other news, the EDFL will be regrading again and I believe Strathmore will do a little swap with Marby park after the beltings they had received and given respectively. Other than that, division 2 is almost faultless, there is always a tough game in that comp. In division 3, you can't do much, if you drop douttas there isn't any other team that will compete any better so unless they promote Burnside Heights and/or West Coburg, they should leave it.Watched the Saints and Kielor game in division 3. Kielor ended up stealing the game by 1 point. Game was a great standard.
So Marby and Avondale heights are now relegated to div 1. I don't know whether that helps strathies cause as they still need to compete againstIt must have been a great game, losing by 1 point will always hurt.
