Couldn't agree more - a 6 team competition in 16/1's and whilst this is a 16's forum the 14/1's has been reduced to a 5 team comp with a bye! The fixturing is insane as an example Abers and Hillside will play each other 3 times within 7 rounds and not have played some teams once....EDFL is an absolute joke! Absolutely! The season has been a waste, we can only look forward to finals, but knowing the EDFL, they will probably change the fixture for the Grand final..Couldn't agree more - a 6 team competition in 16/1's and whilst this is a 16's forum the 14/1's has been reduced to a 5 team comp with a bye! Agree insane. I do not understand why Hillside aren't playing Strathmore this week u14 div1.Couldn't agree more - a 6 team competition in 16/1's and whilst this is a 16's forum the 14/1's has been reduced to a 5 team comp with a bye! In season 2014 the EDFL has altered the way we grade our junior teams from a club-based grading system to a team-based grading system.
This decision was made as a consequence of large margins that were evident in junior football in the EDFL.
At the end of the 2013 season the EDFL was statistically the worst league in metropolitan Melbourne for average winning margins.
my tips for this week is;Quite a few huge upsets this week:
West Coburg over Aberfeldie by 20?
Moonee Valley over Pascoe Vale by 1?
Strathmore over Hillside by 12?
Hadfield over Craigieburn by 18?
At least I didn't do the tipping
We tipped at the same time and the last two tips were quite similar hahamy tips for this week is;
sainters by 10 points over pacco
westy easily by 90 points
Keilor to beat the valley by 25 points
I was there too. Jack and Silvio were great i agree. The kid i was talking about Nathan was very quiet. I also think Liam Stacey and a kid called Nick had decent games.watched northern and pascoe vale today and it was a high standard game in bad weather.
pascoe vale were great but northern just didnt give up. silvio is just a workhorse and their
ruck jack milne just kept on going all day. great game
I saw the match and l even asked around who number 11 is playing in northern saints and was gob smacked to find out he is a bottom age under 16 first year that kid is a gun out on the field his speed is phenomenal there a future in number 11Saw the division 3 game Northern Saints vs Mooney Valley, and the kids i mentioned earlier Silvio and Nathan were the best 2 on the ground by a mile. These kids deserve a go in the rep squad. 13,10 and 3 also had good games. Northern Saints look like a very good well structured side, although it's gonna be hard against the likes of Pasco and Westy's and even Kielor.
and number 11 in northern saints for a bottom age under 16 he shits all over the top age kidsEveryone here is looking past the Northern Saints. Watched them and i think a couple of kids deserve to make the rep squads.
Silvio Campanaro, Nathan and Jack Milne and Michael Hoare. All are just standouts and someone definetly needs to give the edfl an email or send a scout down to watch them. They are versing the Valley next week at the Valley. GET SOMEONE DOWN!
keep an eye out on number 11 northern saints his a very smart player and a gun he gas a good future aheadi was at the game today as well and i certainly agree with you.
both boys were dominant but number 15 also did really well.
really looking forward to next weeks game against keilor
D' ARRO is that number 11 kid bottom age under 16 that kid has speed is a very smart player, and boy he can run his an absolute gun he will do northern saints proudLots of big games this week and it'll be tough to tip winners. My tips for this week:
Division 1
Let's start with the biggest of all, Essendon Doutta Stars host the might of Keilor, which team will get their first loss of the year? Douttas might miss Campisi due to Vic metro telling the kids to try to not play at club level, and Keilor also might miss Venables, L. Bagaric and McManus. Douttas with the home advantage might just get over line, but I'm not certain.
Greenvale < Abers by 120 pts
Hillside > Strathmore by 30 pts
West Coburg > Marby by 45 pts
Division 2
It will be a tight game at Craigieburn this week and Oak Park will be looking for a win, but Craigieburn is hard to beat at home and we all know that:
Craigieburn > Oak Park by 12 pts
APW < Glenroy by 80 pts
Roxy > AH by 4 goals
Once again another tight game, this time at Hadfield. Abers (2) will give them a run for their money but for me I think that Hadfield will win by 10 points.
Division 3
A big test for Douttas (2) at Northern Saints, expect a big game from the second tier players in Campanaro, Milne and D'Arro for the sainters. Very hard to pick a winner here so I'll just say Sainters by 5 pts.
TL > MV by 15 pts
Marby < Pacco by 125 pts
Last but not least Westmeadows head over to Keilor for what should another classic. If Keilor put their head down and work hard they'll win but Westy just seems too strong for my liking.
Keilor < Westy by 30 pts
Last game for grading, which might determine who goes up or down so good luck to all teams this week, cheers!
D'arro number 11 northern saints really he should be looked at for a bottom age under 16 he is phenomenal out there on the field a true gun and a very smart playerSorry mate, haven't heard of Michael Hoare or the Milne brothers, though Silvio is a very good player. I think that Liam Stacey is also a decent player. These types of club really need to pull their socks up and support their players by giving them pathways. I'm sure that their U/16's coach could ring someone from the Cannons or Knights to come down and watch a game or two, or the players themselves can ring up the 16's rep coach and he would be happy to give them advice or allow them to try out.
I have seen this kid play, but you can't compare him to the likes of ben caluzzi, luke hitch, aaron vendramini, mohamed moustafa and cameron rayner. They are as classy as they get!look out for this kid number 11 in Northern Saints bottom age under 16 he is a gun and a phenomenal player
cannot believe no one has snatched him, this kid has a good future ahead
I highly doubt that, he is a decent player but I don't think he even made the first cut for the under 15 rep squad?and number 11 in northern saints for a bottom age under 16 he shits all over the top age kids
all due respect l wasn't comparing no 11 to the kids you've mentionedI have seen this kid play, but you can't compare him to the likes of ben caluzzi, luke hitch, aaron vendramini, mohamed moustafa and cameron rayner. They are as classy as they get!
lm referring within his own club in under 16 bottom age how his shining compare to the top age that have had the extra year l am not talking about the cut in under 15 edfl rep SQUAD as we all now the kids in div 1 and 2 have better chances than kids in div 3 getting through in the REP SQUADI highly doubt that, he is a decent player but I don't think he even made the first cut for the under 15 rep squad?
