Is he still Golden Boy the heart & soul of your club who can do no wrong, are you still ready to #standbyhird or have you suddenly changed your minds about him?

Now that James Albert Hird (ANZAC Day Medalist) is now OFFICIALLY the worst coaching appointment in VFL/AFL history -and perhaps even in all of sport- do you still plan on worshiping the ground he walks on despite the unprecedented damage he's done to Essendon*?

I think we can all agree that this is what happens when you put a bunch of dumb campaigners together who have been told their whole lives that they are better and smarter than what they really are, and you forget to put a smart campaigner in there to keep an eye on them

K4E the problem is for every sane & rational Essendon* fan like Doss there are 4 or 5 complete nutjobs like Haduken who infect them with their taint. I'm no expert on cults but it wouldn't surprise me if the demographics of most of them are like that, the majority being mouth-frothing fanatics with a sprinkling of sane human beings who probably ask themselves how they ever got hooked up with such loonies on a regular basis.

Much as I hate to say it -because its great to see Essendon* supporters finally open up about their true feelings towards Golden Boy- its all well & good for them to claim they never liked or trusted him now that the issue's decided & they've nothing to lose by doing so, but where was all this criticism of Hird back when it might have done some good? If they had've turned on him two years ago the club may have put concerns for his precious reputation aside and accepted ASADA's deal. I don't need to tell you how much better off they'd be right now had they done that.

So yeah its great these guys are finally coming out of the woodwork and blaming Hird but pretty pissweak they didn't have the guts to do it years ago.
