Melbourne's list 2009 vs Fiztroy's list 1996 would be a better poll.

Seriously, how did Richmond give Craig Cameron a 5 year deal after assembling that list.

Really poor form. No one wishes a player to suffer injuries and lose a career. We might of found an exception though.

Actually I regularly wish for injuries to players I don't like, even over such trivial matters as their haircut or if they just seem a bit up themselves.

For example, I'm watching Hawthorn vs Collingwood right now, and Buddy Franklin would have to be the most unlikeable human being in Australia at the moment, and I not only hope he breaks both his legs, but actually dies.

just as i hope you walk outside and get hit by a truck

Essendon's best forward = Lloyd
Essendon's best defender = Fletcher

The obvious answer is Essendon are better at the moment but expect Melbourne to pass them within two seasons.

Essendon people tend to forget they have had a very lucky season and but for a couple of favourable umpiring decisions would be in the bottom 6.
I'm seriously not trolling here but I cannot understand how Carlton fans as a collective are so stupid. I understand there are a lot of good supporters with valid opinions on footy. It just amazes me the stuff some can come up with.

Fletcher and Lloyd hey.... Lets not mention Michael Hurley and Tayte Pears they look like they have no future those guys!! well not compared to the young gun KPP that Carlton have :thumbsu:

Where is Josh Kennedy these days??

Carlton ppl cant stand it that Essendon is better than them.

How do you come to that conclusion???
Are they not a game and percentage above you guys???

I will make the call right now.......Essendon to miss the 8

I'll make another call...

Melbourne to finish bottom 4 for the third straight year...

And another...

Melbourne will be lucky to be around in another 5 years in their current format. :)

Geez what a prediction. No one saw that coming:D

Thats ok because you guys are like Richmond. This year 9th......next year bottom 4:thumbsu:

I know. Massive prediction. Poor old Melbourne.

Run along and go watch your 1964 premiership DVD... oh waittt...

Oh yeah, and this is how much better Carlton are than Essendon -

One game and percentage ahead of us? Amazing isn't it when you don't have to play Geelong until Round 18 and playing the Eagles in Melbourne & Fremantle (twice).

So does that mean Richmond are better than Essendon??? because they beat them.
:D:D:D

Melbourne's list 2009 vs Fiztroy's (sic) list 1996 would be a better poll.

Now there's a moronic statement if I've ever seen one! Pathetic.

Obviously this character has about as much general knowledge of AFL football as an ant in Beijing does about life in Brisbane...

Another load of piss & wind from an oxygen thief (who obviously doesn't have the first damn clue what supporting a club is all about, by the way, since he seems to love the idea of other people's clubs dying and wishes for it to happen)

Guess what, "Macca", your dream of seeing another club dying won't be happening!

Here is the current off-field state of the Melbourne Football Club:

- Record membership (up on last year's record)
- Sponsorship revenue higher than most other AFL clubs
- Moving into training and general club facilities the envy of most other AFL clubs

And, by the way, 4 more games we could have won so far this year (8-point loss to Bulldogs, 7-point loss to WCE, 17-point loss to Adelaide and 18-point loss to Sydney), if not for a crippling load of injuries.

Christ, we've had half our team out injured for most of this season!

Not that the likes of "Macca", "StantonLEGEND" and "morebeer" would actually KNOW these things, because like the average troll, they don't even bother to find out anything about clubs they take potshots at, do they?

We will have a great shot at making finals next year, barring the kind of injury problems we've had this season and in 2008. That's my bet.
