If it makes you feel any better, they think they've got Danny Welbeck.

Hahaha that's brilliant! Must be Tony Shaw in charge of the photos there- he can never tell the difference between Aaron and Alwyn Davey despite their different uniforms ;)

Saha was miles offside for the goal however we need to take advantage of opportunities like that! It is so frustrating!

Everton were fortunate to go ahead with the Saha goal as you said but the tactics from Moyes ensured any chance Everton had to win the game evaporated in the 2nd half. Osman has no place in the side on the left hand side of midfield!!! How many times does he need to contribute nothing until Moyes realizes this. Vic and Jags coming on when we need a goal… Give me a break. WTF would Beckford have been thinking.

Also how good was Fellaini. Best on the park by an absolute country mile. I fear what will happen when he decides to leave.

He's gone for a walk to see his pal Roy and is asking him if he wants to take over the job - at least this way he doesn't have to deal with any Norwegian fans
:D

A load of the UK bookies slashed their odds on him being the next manager to quit yesterday after a surge of bets were laid, seems like nothing more came of it though.

I rate Moyes, he's got a tough job there and I reckon he's doing as well as anyone would.

The big test for Moyes will be if he remains at Everton next season when we are in the Championship or looks for an opportunity elsewhere.

Really have to question the intellegence of whoever decided to, in light of recent rumours amd events, put a giant headline on the EFC website that reads 'CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT', before describing some minor financial news.

Way to give everyone a heart attack.

Everton tweeted this late last night. Was half asleep and saw this and nearly fell out of bed.

Don't think we will be relegated though.

I do. Do it!

Besides, it's got the fro in it. Of course it's funny.

The thread is an absolute pisser about photo shopping Bill Kenwright (who is chairman and majority owner of Everton).

I will try to post some of them for you later today or monday at the latest.

So lets put this into perspective. The net spend of Everton in the 8 years of David Moyes is 6 Mill. Not even a million investment per season on transfers.

Chelsea have spent 75 Mill today in less than a day.:p
It sums up the situation and I think it has made me realise I probably cannot be as critical of Moyes as I am when you look at the raw figures he gets to invest into the team each year compared to other clubs. Not just the top 4 clubs, but more than half the league.

The ship is well and truly sinking and if we avoid relegation this season it will catch up sooner rather than later with nothing being spent on players.

I looked up the official spending figures in the club accounts for another post I did and Moyes has had an average spend of only 4 mil per season for both transfers and wages since he was appointed manager.

He has done a fantastic job at Everton.

That's big news for nerds like me with accounting backgrounds :).

Based on rumours, its release has been delayed for months because the clubs credit rating has dropped to 12/100. The auditors are going to qualify their opinion that the club isn't a going concern, which to people who don't understand accounting means they don't think the club will be around in the foreseeable future.

If we manage to avoid relegation then the big test will be holding onto players. Fellaini is the one I worry about.

He will still be under contract but I can see Kenwright selling him and those funds used for new players. Our net spend will continue to be nothing.

I can't see him being with us next year.

Fellaini would be close to one of the best players in the world in his position. If Mascherano was considered one of the worlds best defensive midfielders then why wouldn't Fellaini?

The only way Fellaini would stay long-term is if we get a takeover soon, so the club can match the players ambition.

Bily and Baines were great down the left. Bily looked class and hope he can keep it up.

We need to keep hold of Fellaini no matter what

Saha would be world class if he could stay fit

Rodwell.. wow... he just keeps getting better, scary..

for once we looked great from the midfield forward and it was defense that looked shaky. Heitinga made a few mistakes and sometime I was wondering what the hell Tim Howard was thinking..

but still it comes to February and we start to click, too familiar a story where we finish 7th/8th and wonder what might have been come seasons end..

I have now :D

Haha. Good to hear.

Hopefully Jags gets back into the starting 11. I still see Johnny as a CDM more than a CB.

What a game and what a win. Probably one of the best games I have seen, it is awesome to have Saha back again :thumbsu:

Amazing win, lets hope we can keep this up and going and finish the year on a high. No doubt we need to spend up, where are the oil mogels when you need them?

I've always liked Billy - though with Peanuts and Coleman down the right his game time has been limited

Arteta still needs to some consistency - but I love what Billy can do and think he's all class

Beckford will be top-class for us next season - has just taken time to adjust, much like Felli did when he kept getting carded

Fellaini is a must to hold on to - he is incredible to watch when he's on song and his disciplinary record lately has been superb compared to his first season and a half

Cannot wait til we play chelsea at the bridge - liverpool's win there has given me even more confidence to be able to beat them there plus our decent record there against them - I don't think DM has lost there from memory? (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

Next up is Bolton at the Reebok though - could be interesting and I'm hoping Moyes goes 4-4-2 with Becks and King Louis up-front - Fellaini, Billy, Coleman and Neville in the middle - keep Timmy on the bench for now
